Chicken

Ms Dash seasoning has zero sodium and its great. Also, nothing is better than minced cilantro, lemon and lime juice with fresh lime stuffed in the chickens ass, or inside the crockpot. I don't use marinades usually just a cup of water in the crockpot, cilantro, limes and sirracha hot sauce and chopped jalapeno. Oh yea, shove whole jalapeño up the chickens ass too, its great (as weird as that may sound).

I also have a roaster oven specifically made for chickens and turkeys and the like that roasts them to perfection and taste great. I don't do the breasts I cook the whole chicken.

So do you just dump the marinade in with the chicken, in other words you don't actually marinade you just cook in the marinade ?

Yep, that's right. Depending on how much chicken, 3:15 to 4 hours on low. Cooking on high makes the meat tough IMO

I think my crockpot is just weak.. high for around 3:30 is tender as can be. Pulled chicken. Can't even lift it out of the pot without it breaking apart. Its so easy to use though. Just have to play with different recipes and times.

I'll use Mrs dash a lot in the final weeks of prep, but other than that not so much. A little salt in seasoning is ok, and to me it just adds a lot to flavor. You just don't want to overdo it at all

I made a bunch of chicken on Monday for the week. Turned out really good.
Smashed the breasts until about ¼" thick. Mixed up some chive & onion cream cheese, shredded pepper jack and diced jalapeños. Put the cream cheese mixture on the chicken breasts and rolled them up. Bake on 350 for about 40-45 minutes.
They're like chicken jalapeño poppers. So good.

Ya, that Ms. Dash is the bomb. I mainly use the Garlic and Herb. I will have to try the minced cilantro, lemon and lime juice in the crockpot.

Cooking time varies with the amount of chicken and I am sure from crockpot to crockpot. Love it when it's cooked to perfection and just falls apart. A lot people I know complain about eating chicken, but guess it's the way they are preparing it. I enjoy everything I eat otherwise it would not be sustainable.

Ya for sure. I usually throw in around 10lbs or so. Fill that pot up..

you must be overcooking it then or something but you should never have to "choke" it down... ive never heard anyone say that about chicken unless its dry as fuck or something...

I agree man. I do know from experience that overcooked and dry chicken is rough. But when cooked right it should be moist and tender. Very easy to eat

A lot of people are afraid their chicken is not going to be cooked thoroughly so many times they end up overcooking it as they are afraid of getting sick. Often times you will see chicken breasts in the oven being cooked at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. That's too much. I go higher on the temp and lower in time. 450 degrees and max 20 minutes in the oven and they come out great. Smash the breast down before cooking to an even thickness all around. Hell, if I'm cooking them on the grill at 400-450, I only leave them on for about 5 or so minutes on each side. Meat thermometer is a must have tool imo
