Hey guys. I purchased a body composition scale to measure my body fat, muscle mass and so forth... I would like to know how accurate are they ...

Depending on your hydration and wether you have emty bowels, they can vary as much as 3% from one day to another .
They will help someone gauge BF% from a major drop as in going from 25% down to 15%

For instance, If I measure myself every mourning right after waking up on empty stomach, would it be the best time isn't it ?

Depends on teh the scale. I have a really nice tanita that measures from feet AND hands.

Mine is fairly close averaged out, a few fliers here and there though.

I have iHealth HS5, I am not sure how accurate and precise it could be... Because I measured myself and I think my bf% is too good to be truth

yes,,,try to take a deuce and pee and take it with exact conditions.
Same clothes or no clothes.... same room...same floor...no socks

They aren't very accurate at all actually bro. They measure bioelectic Impedence for bodyfat and I've had that vary as much as 8 or 9% just depending on when I drank water last

That's actually a nice scale, but it can vary depending on a lot of factors such as hydration level and such. I'd say it could range between 4-9% off.

it varies quite a bit. 5% plus or minus. give or take. whenever you measure just keep every variable constant. same time, no clothes, right after you use bathroom, etc. Its a quick and easy way to track fat loss. but when it comes time to get an accurate reading you need to do something else. calipers, or bodpod, hyrdostatic weigh, etc. something else more accurate

Personally do not trust biometric scales, my scales always have me between 18 and 21% yet a bod pod had me ~8% which again I think was too low I would have said I was around 12% - pic below IMG_2024.JPG

But that«s because you drank water before... If you go on the scale right after waking up every single time the measurements might have some accuracy

FitBit Aria is accurate on weight but no where close on BF%. I found that the handheld units that you squeeze were far more accurate on BF% than the Fitbit Aria.

Zzzzoooooooooooom! ......Right over your head bro. Just a friendly joke, morning /mourning .

Nice one! Yesterday measure was innacurate, today I weight myself right after waking up and I was at 8.1%... but I don't think I'm that low... couple months ago I posted some pics and you guys said I was around 17-19%
