I workout in the morning too.I just have coffee & a whey protein(bcaa's & creatine) shake pre-workout.I used to be so nauseous from overexertion after my workouts I couldn't eat,but after I started ending my lifting with cardio I'm starving after my workouts.I keep it simple like a can of albacore,sliced tomatoes & LF cottage cheese.Sometimes I'll just have a casein shake to hold me over if I'm running late for work,then eat a proper meal a couple hours later.
I've mentally trained myself that after a workout I must eat or have a protein shake or my workout was useless. Which isn't correct but it sure helps in making sure I slam calories.
