I agree on the calves deal. I always have people bitch about calves till they go through my routine a few times lol.

I will share.....

Each set you go up, reps equal seconds of rest. You go heavy heavy weight.

Set 1 5 reps. 5 second rest
Set 2 10 reps 10 second rest
Set 3 15 reps 15 second rest.
Set 4 20 reps 20 second rest.
....

You incrament by 5 reps. go up to 60 reps 60 second rest.. If you can get through three sets of that Il give you credit. I've only had one gym buddy finish it with me.

Sounds fun, that kind of volume is rough to push through. Have you ever done DC Style calf work? 5 sec negative, 15 second fully stretched for 12 reps. That's brutal too. My calves responded well to those bastards. I bet Rick knows what I'm talking about lol.

I'm going to try this.. My calves are real strong. I tried to really focus on growing them this last year, because genetically I have smaller looking calf muscles, but I usually out lift most people in this dept... but most people don't do legs so it's not saying much.

Def going to take this challenge though.

I am very limited by the equipment at the gym. We have a half squat rack. Let ext/curl machine. A bench. A press machine. A leg press (I may start doing calves on here but I don't use it at all now). And Dumbbells up to 70lbs. :/ hoping it doesn't hinder my progress.
To answer, my triceps have always been a strong point. I was a runner in high school and had crazy calf strength. As of now they don't get trained specifically but that will change.

Hell ya, I know what's up bro! This right here is no fucking Joke. I am already blessed with great calves, but implementing this style of calf training will leave you screaming for mercy, but will blow your calves right up in the process. As a result of doing these, my calves are just insanely huge for my size,mercy strong, and vascular as fuck.

Give these a shot and you'll see what I mean

Yea man my calves scream every time it's time to go through a set. You know it's killer when you finish your set and you just have to sit there and recollect yourself since standing up is not an option lol.

I was about to post this and ask RickRock if he does them since I know he's done DC training. I don't do DC training exclusively but I've done that calf workout for awhile now....its a killer. I worked out with a buddy the other day and he did calf raises and changed his foot positioning to pointing in, out, and neutral. I typically stayed neutral doing DC calves so that was an interesting addition for me.....

i have done similar before and yes that is really difficult. what killed me is when i did 5 sec Squeeze at the top of each calf raise, then 5 sec negative, then the stretch hold. cant walk after lol
