Hi there, I could use some help. I was getting ready to run an anavar and test cycle, which was recommended to me by a new lifting partner. I am currently overweight and was assured that this would help me trim down on the BF%. After doing what cant even being considered a minimal amount of research, I had him order me both the var and test, along with a PCT. After some hesitance by my wife I decided to do a more adequate amount of research and discovered Dylan's videos, and consequently this forum. I've looked into the shelf life of everything I bought and it seems they will last long enough for me to get in shape and do this in a more educated and safe manner. Thats where I could use the help. Here's a little bit about myself.

I'm 25 years old, about 5'11, and was around 285lbs last july. Currently I'm 235lbs, and steadily dropping after a little break over the holidays. Not sure of the BF% but obviously its up there. I'm no stranger to exercise, I was a "professional" mixed martial artist(fought at 175, and once at 155), but after a few life experiences, and an embarrassing PPV loss, I stopped fighting and became a blob. Now that I'm back to a healthy lifestyle, my diet has been going phenomenally. Low carb, high protein, although no real specifics to speak of at the moment. I will be going over my macros next weekend and dialing everything in. I'll probably post that on here and get as much input as possible. My original plan was to run 40mg var daily for 7 weeks with 250mg of test.

I'll be as clear as I can on this, I will NOT be running this cycle until I feel 100% safe with myself physically and with what I add to this cycle to keep myself healthy. I bought it so I want to do it, but I'll just concentrate on getting educated until I feel OK with doing this. In Dylan's videos, he said a lot about various different pills I never heard of when talking to my friend. I was under the impression that test, var, and a pct was all I would need. So here's my questions:

I understand that this is not a weight loss forum, so I wont get on here and ask how to get rid of love handles two months from now, but if it doesn't break any rules that I couldn't find, I'd like to start this as a progress tracker towards this cycle. Clearly you have the right motivation and attitude. Just as clearly is that you have zero knowledge of what you are about to embark on. You are about to suppress all of your natural Testosterone production and replace it with an unknown quantity over an unknown period of time. My advice is run some bloodwork first, this place has some decent prices, http://www.discountedlabs.com/ , know your Test your free test, your hematocrit and your estrogen baselines. Chances are your already good, and you just need to get your fat ass in shape. And for now you may probably just pass on the AAS, and Dylan can recommend some good sarms, I'm sure GW would be at the top of the list.

Right now your concern should t be the cycle, but to help yourself lose fat and get into shape. Generally we prefer people get to under 15% bodyfat before starting a steroid cycle

What you can do in the meantime is run a Sarms stack, which will help you considerably with fat loss, while building muscle and strength at the same time (provided you have and adequate diet and training). I highly suggest you go that route and I know you will be very happy with the results it brings. Sarms give steroid like results without the side effects of steroids. They are safe for you to run now to help,you get into better shape. Here is a good protocol for you to follow


1-12 S4 50 mg day... split doses... 25 mg in the a.m. and 25 mg in the p.m.

there is no doubt that you can reach deep inside with a work ethic that you have had in you from your fighting days to cut down below 15% before you jump on anything other than the sarms layout RR just laid out for you, believe bro it aint easy which you will find out, but nothing worthwhile is very easy I too let myself go for 5 years or so and was 35% body fat and now down to 20ish after only about 9 months. all on test cyp and sarms but I am 44 you are 25 and should still have a good natty test level. sarmsx.com is a one stop shop for all RR laid out for you including pct you will love it

Bro-good for you coming in with a thought out post. Your buddy who told you that the anavar cycle will help you loose weight is flat out wrong. I am glad you did not follow that advice. You have been steadily loosing and so I assume you know what it takes and what it means to gather some discipline and dig in. You are right...dial in those macros. You have a while to go. When you reach your goal write us and we gladly guide you with a cycle. Your gear will be fine..just keep it in a cool, dark place.

Some great points were made by far more experienced members than me but none the less, at 25 your levels are probably fine and as you continue to lose the weight the better you will feel. SARMS would be a better start than aas at this point. Like DrB said hold off for now on that cycle. In the mean time keep working and reading up, this is great board and when/if you get to the point you want to run a cycle these brothers will be here to help.

Ill start down a list of things to invest in when it comes closer to that time, bloodwork will definitely now be on that list. I'm working on the ass, but its always been pretty large, even when I was in shape. Black girls in high school used to say I was "one of them." I will either be selling or storing the var and test. If I decide to go with some sarms I'll keep the clomid, but honestly I'm pretty happy with how quickly I'm losing the weight. Learning this new information kind of make me re-evaluate if I need help with losing the fat right now. Thanks for the reply.

I'll scrap the idea of learning about this specific cycle, like you advised. I agree that my focus should be on right now. I assume Dylan has some videos on stacking sarms, I'll check those out and see if you guys have any info on here regarding it so I can learn some about it, but honestly I know I don't need it right now. Seems like my body is changing for the better each and every week, but maybe some sarms will help once I hit a plateau. Thanks!!

Thanks man, I really do miss being in fighting shape, but I know I can get in even better shape than I was back then with better nutrition(nutrition meant nothing to me). Gaining weight has been a learning experience, and has made me appreciate a natural athletic ability. I'm almost glad I gained the weight. I feel like I have an even better work ethic than I did before. I now care about whats going in my body, and I don't see food for its flavor, its all numbers and fuel to me now. So am I. I honestly am embarrassed and surprised by myself, as I'm normally very careful about doing adequate research and not jumping into things too quickly. I still caught myself, but now I gotta figure out what to do with $300 worth of stuff. I guess I was just too excited about losing this belly. I'll throw it all in my basement, away from my kid for now. If I can find a buyer I might sell it, but maybe it could be a good reward once I'm ready for it. Thanks!

Keep it as stash hell ive had some tren storm that i know i aint ready for but i like to look at it. It motivates me to keep going so i can use it. Lol i dis almost tje exact same thing i was shooting test and sust for 2 weeks before i found this place then after joining i switched to test and sarms goin on 2nd ccycle now. I encourage u to hang out learn all u can so when u are ready itll be easy. This place is great and dial in that diet and join in the coversations

The only problem I see here is the title to your post... you might be a newbie but FAR from and ultimate newbie... YOU ACTUALLY listened, you have the RIGHT head on your shoulders and your responsible... brother your FAR from an ultimate newbie.. your just new to the game but you have already earned a great deal of respect from all your peers, myself included for your efforts and studying on your own and actually working hard to get yourself going in the right direction... its highly commendable that you have gone about this in the right way...

Here's the problem and the unfortunate part with all of this... you have been greatly misled, which so many new guys are, by some moron telling you that steroids are going to make you lose weight... steroids are not fat burners whatsoever... that's not what they are used for and this is such a huge misconception thats out there, that you cannot be blamed for the idiocy of your friend... anavar flat out sucks first of all... just so you know and its not a fat burner... its a weaker steroid that can help with some stubborn belly fat and add a little strength and maybe a few lbs. of size but nothing more... its not favorable whatsoever... this is far from what you need...

now, as others have pointed out to you, sarms will be more than ideal for you... you can run 2 cycles back to back that will put you exactly where you need to be... lets get you started with a very strong cutting stack to get your body fat down to a level it needs to be at... all of these products can be bought at www.sarmsx.com You will not find quality that comes close to it... here is the full layout...
