Shoes have about 150 miles on the and are on there tail end of life but a year ago when I started to get back in shape I had the same thing happen but it only lasted for a week or two . Had a guy at the running store tell me that the calfs are so much stronger than the muscles in the shin that you need to strech more and it helped but I've put on about 20 lbs since then.ill get back to running it might just need to start all over. Yes I have not run in about 2 weeks and I'm a month from my race so I'll get the next one . So spinning , eliptical, and been swimming
bro, when you are a runner, especially in abundance, switching shoes every 3-4 months is crucial and i mean HUGE... what type of shoes are you using? yes, your calf muscles have expanded to quickly and the shin cannot accommodate either and that's part of the pain you have to endure.... the other issue is one of the only true ways to heal them is to rest them which is obviously difficult at this time.... its just a shitty nagging injury and really has limited treatment... there's just steps you can take to try to lessen the extent... running on shock absorbing treadmills is the first... life fitness has excellent running accommodations on their equipment...
