That's a lot of tuna for lunch 3 cans, at 66? I'm more than 20 years younger than that and one can is plenty for lunch.

There's really not a whole lot of protein in one can of tuna (20g?), so I don't see a problem with 3 cans in a serving

The diet I wrote will shred you. No ifs ands or buts. So you have bellyfat, then you say you eat rice and gravy and mashed taters??? We called those concentrated carbs and they are to be avoided when you want to shred. If you are on a gear bulk then of course you will have fat. Thats where its at bro. You bulk, and add water, fat and hopefully lots of muscle to your body. At this point who cares about belly fat? You eat, lift, sleep...then eat lift sleep.
Now to cut up...all concentrated carbs are bye be. NOW we go after that stubborn bellyfat. Look at my diet again..protein, non concentrated carbs. Apples, oranges, brocoli, cauliflower, lettuce etc Then I do one of two things. Every third day I eat 1lb of boiled carrots with some coconut oil on them. Nuff carbs! Or if you are feeling deprived then eat small handfulls of oats, sunflower seeds, and a few raisns.
Then once per week eat a big bowl of oats with some caisen whey scooped in.
The bmr is good, but you can also get an underwater weighing and see what your lean weight is as well as how much fat you are toting around. Then adjust your calories as if your weight was your lean weight.
And sorry to say but the older you get ,the less of those concentrated carbs you can have. Oh well

You can still shred up while eating carbs, but the a,punt and kind you eat is important. Complex slow digesting carbs are important to stick to mostly if you can. The amount of carbs you intake depends on your carb sensitivity, and everyone is different. A lowered carb approach can be good to lose fat for a lot of people, or a lowered fat diet works well too. The main thing here is that diet really is the key to everything, and you just have to figure out what works best for you

Dude-I will be 66 years old soon, and I can tell you that each decade that you pass means you need less and less food. The days of eating until you are stuffed, eating crap, eating late..all that is GONE.
I will lay close to my exact diet for you. I am usually 6'2 and 210, but due to a lot of outside work I have gone to 190.
Breakfast- 4 poached eggs, 1/2 slice toast, 3- 8oz cups of coffee

Lunch- 3 cans of tuna, or fresh fish with 1/2 head of lettuce, and picante sauce as a dressing for the lettuce, 1.5 quarts of iced tea, 1/2 bananna.

Dinner- 1 pound of beef, usually steak or ground sirloin, 6 cups of brocoli with drizzled mct coconut oil from Nature's Way ,3 apples, 1 cup decaff with one scoop choc whey/casien blend,

Snacks- I have 2 per day. One handfull of pecans and 1 tablespoon of home made peanut butter, and b4 bed 1/2 bananna.

I like your meal plan. Surprisingly different then most as you seem to eat more meat at each meal and have less meals as opposed to common thought of 6 meals a day each containing roughly 6-8 ounces of meat and a complex carb like broccoli or asparagus.

Yeh, lol he is old school, in every sense of the word. He is one of the true long time veterans of this bodybuilding lifestyle, so his strategies are a bit different than the "norm" cookie cutter approaches you see. However, he definitely knows what he is talking about. He has walked the walk, and he can talk the talk.mhes offered a lot to us here, including diet and cycling strategies, and we are glad to have him.

Maybe some guys like the 6 meals per day, but to me it means never giving your stomach a rest and you are constantly having the need for insulin and digestive juice and action. Also as you get older it seems less and less carbs are on the menu. When starting a rip up diet I always go with nothing but tuna and water for 3 days. It resets everything. You are down in the trenches with just you and your mental thoughts. If you make 3 days then you win. You are tuff and the diet becomes easier

I like the idea of the three days with just tuna and water. Might try it.

Tuna is a staple for me... I have it every day and it's shown to be an extremely effective portion of my diet... there's quite a significant amount of benefit with it and as long as its lower sodium then 3 cans a day is excellent...

On a bulking type diet, its hard to keep the ratio's where you need to be at to avoid some sort of fat gain as a portion... it does mean that you just eat like shit and start pounding anything and everything and the fat can be kept far lower with more discipline but you are inevitably going to see some otherwise you would be recomping, not bulking where your trying to add as much size as possible yet maintaining or dropping body fat... just keep that in mind on this type of goal... you CAN attempt to add an aid that is non catabolic to knock it down more but your diet is not going to accommodate this otherwise or it would not be a bulking diet... you can try to add something like gw-501516 or albuterol and an eca stack etc... otherwise, add a bit more to your cardio where it won't sacrifice size... try the stairclimber... these are all possible scenarios for you...

Maybe I'm completely off here, but isn't tuna something to eat cautiously and once...maybe twice a week because of the mercury?

I was literally just going to say something like that when reading that last bit of this thread. I love tuna but from my understanding it should be eaten in moderation. Maybe not as little as twice a week but not everyday or numerous times a day.

that does hold true to chunk white or albacore but i only eat the canned light which has moderate amounts at best in it...

I have heavily researched the tuna issue, and as usual it is a little over stated. For me eggs (the cheapest chicken diner there is) and tuna will keep you lean. There is an old school 60's Mr America who is a very smart guy and he had samples of tuna sent off for analysis. You can read it here. The only time I am ever COMPLETELY sure of what I eat is when it comes from my farm!!

Very nice information brother... That really says a lot and is very helpful to clear up some of the questions that arise... A lot of times there are publications out there with no factual basis whatsoever and a lot of overstated opinion... This really gets into detail and breaks it down with accurate information... THANK YOU for posting

Hi All:

And thanks for this post! I too have the same issue is that I got that wee little bit of fat on my abs I am trying to get rid of. I saw some nice diets listed in this post I am going to give a try. I too have been doing a lot of tuna lately, my problem was back in the days I wanted to be a mass monster so I did nothing but bulk, bulk bulk. But those days are long gone for me, I notice as I got older I would feel the weight I was carrying when I climb the stairs, my closet is full of cloths that at different sizes because my genetic's is like this the bigger I get the bigger my pants size goes. I went as high as 220lbs at 5'9. Sure I had big arms and chest but I also had a gut which I couldn't stand. I am from the old school as well and now that I am 54 years old I rather much have Frank Zane look then a Phil Heath look. So I am working hard for a more balanced look! I am almost there I just need to get that last little cloud of fat off my abs..... I am currently between 190-195lbs I may drop down to 180lbs My dieting currently is clean with a hour of cardio per day, I have add Masteron 100 4x per week with Test E 300 once a week. I am going to add some GW 501516 & S4 to my stack. Also been doing IGF1-Lr3 , Frag, CJC-1295 w/Dac and GHRP-6 to the mix, going to run this for 16 weeks and see what happens...

if you want cutting peptides, go with cjc no dac, frag and ipam... forget the others bro... run them stacked with a sarms triple stack and now we are talking shred...
