Height/weight 5’9 @184
Bodyfat, not sure but I’m fairly lean, I’ll say 11%
Goals, compete NPC classic physique or one day light heavyweight
Starting weight was 140lbs
Cycle history: in college I messed with hdrol, sdrol, mdrol but it hit my appetite so hard, that by the second week *with literally every compound* any type of food made me want to puke, so I would net about 2 pounds when I was all said and done, and sadly never leaner. So those were all a waste.
Health: currently on TRT, might have something to do with the above, but I was always serious with my pct and never ran otc bullshit. Been on trt for about 3 years now with test cyp at 200mg/week. Since being on TRT I have put on about 12 lbs of lean mass. I have been pinning 2x a week, switched to 1x a week (actually had a flare up with gyno when I did this) and now I actually pin subq on mon/wed/fri. waiting on my bloodwork to return from my last appointment and it’ll be the first time I’ve gotten my numbers back on my subq injections. Reason I did this was not a fear of needles (hell my wife is an RN and gives amazing shots) but I build up scare tissue easily and the shots were getting extremely painful even though I rotated from glutes to delts.
Anyways I need help with what I believe to be my first true cycle. Let me explain.
Last year I wanted to run an 8 week prop cycle. I honestly don’t remember the numbers but I want to say something along the lines of the prop PLUS my TRT of 200mg/week brought me to around 500/wk (i think 200mg/cyp plus 75mg of prop EOD). anyways me being a dumbass I forgot that my prescription was going to run out and I needed to have blood drawn around week 6. So about a week from the blood draw apt (when I found out) since I was out of my script of test cyp, I decided to do the math and do the equivalent of prop to give me the 200/wk dosage. So a week of prop taking the place of my regular cyp, went in for bloodwork, and my levels were about half of what they typically are. This made me think, “ok this shit is bunk” Keep in mind I also never experienced any pain from injection which I thought was abnormal for prop, and I also gained very little strength (extremely abnormal) My weight went up about 20 lbs, but I also went from dieting for about 10 weeks ending at about 2000cals to eating about 3500 cals overnight, I’ve always been sensitive to weight gain after a diet so this is nothing special whatsoever.
So I’m sitting here debating on what I want to do on what I believe to be my first true cycle.
I’ve seen some ppl say to simple double your TRT dosage. So if I’m doing 200mg/wk now I’d take a total of 400. But this seems like because this would be like a standard person taking 200mg/wk and calling it a cycle. That doesn’t really interest me.
I’ve seen others say keep your trt dosage and then add. So lets say I want to do 500mg/wk that would call for an initial 200mg and then an additional 500 to bring for a 700mg total to be equivalent to a normal persons “500”
What I’m leaning towards is something like keeping my test cyp @ 200mg/wk (already good and in my system” and then adding Prop 100-125 EOD
What do you guys think? Sorry for the length, just like to be thorough.
