My journey keto skd ..look to add now

Tell that to the ketostiks I was peeing on every day..they indicated dark purple 160ng/dL full blown ketosis
you know...there is difference between reading about something and actual having an experience with it

I DONT ADVOCATE THIS DIET ...I post the following to support ketosis without added fat

This is the diet I followed 30 years ago...I tested my ketones EVERY day

I'll summarize it for you:

"It’s also a diet that forces the body into ketosis, which is what happens when glucose isn’t a primary fuel source for the body."

Normally the body uses glucose as a fuel source which comes from carbohydrates. When deprived, there is a switch to ketones which are the body’s backup source."

The diet requires eating 6 small meals a day and it recommends the following foods for the initial 1st phase:

• Lean chicken, beef, veal, turkey, eggs, and fish. (even the skin of chicken must be removed before cooking and not eaten)

• Spices, herbs, tabasco sauce, pepper, and salt.

• Tea, coffee, and diet soda.

• 8 glasses of water a day are necessary.

• Fats, oils, condiments, and butter are NOT allowed.

. It also bans any kinds of fruits, carbohydrates vegetables, oils, sugars, and fats.
Yea basically that's about where I'm going with my diet i slowly dropping fats and going lean protein as your body well mine drops you have to make changes I'll probably end up with 50fats when it's all said and done...but I'm about to take my diet and training to another level I think I would like to compete in bodybuilding u know small stuff just to prove that I can have a buddy that bodybuilder have a 6pack that's close to perfection

Surely if your urine is still excreting ketones then the body is not utilising ketones for energy efficiency.

so please enlighten all of us how you can be excreting ketones ..IF YOU AREN"T IN KETOSIS ???
the whole point of this topic was your broSci claim high protein kicks you out of ketosis...so please explain??

Didn't say he wasn't in a state of ketosis or producing ketones, but there is a difference between that term and being 'fat adapted' but as I am clueless I won't comment any further on this matter

When I tried to give you not only real world expirience but some scientific data...
You want to argue and divert the the attention away from your bad information

I have done Keto different variances. I did higher protein and high fat no carbs was in ketosis but moderate. When I switch to 75%fat 20%protein 5% fat I was higher ketosis. I believe for me this ratio is more beneficial. Also read the book called Keto Clarity by James Moore. Explains everything about Keto. I agree with Buen that higher protein will not necessarily kick you out of ketosis some believe the higher protein will turn into glucose if not used by the body. But for me personally was not the case it was just lower reading on the Keto stick

Yep same thing happened to me once I understood what my body wanted as far as keto I just played with my macros and it all come togather as far as muscle rebuild ,fat lose ,energy...hey have u tried a Boulan Cube for a per work omg u will go for hours with all that sodium it's crazy .I had a guy on intermediate fasting keto Facebook tell me about that because I didn't have no energy in the and didn't understand why .

I drink 2 cups of chicken broth everyday and the. I take 1/2 teaspoon of salt 30 min pre workout. Keeps my cramps and lightheadedness to a minimum
