Will a double red cell donation lower hemoglobin more than a whole blood donation?

Whole blood is fine it will but its not gonna be that high take it too low and it will effect your pwrformance.unless youve been running 2 grams of EQ for 20 weeks thats overkill

Just donating blood will help. Should drop your hct by a couple percent. What are you running and what did your levels show on your bloodwork?

Yes it will it basically twice the rate since you are giving double red blood cells. During a double RBC donation you get only your plasma returned back to you. It's a good thing to do when values are higher than they should be. I do doubles once or twice a year. The only downside is you must wait double the time before your next donation which is 16 weeks

Most of the time a whole blood donation is perfectly fine and the way to go, even with slightly elevated levels.
