I know. Food is always best. But I have two containers of carb shakes. Carbolean and Karbolyn xr3. I think those are the names.

Is it best to take pre or post workout? Or should I do both?
I see it this way. Please tell me if I'm wrong. Pre would be for the fuel during a workout. Post would be to restore faster glycogen and everything.

Those are the types of carb shakes that caused me to gain a TON of fat the first time I tried to bulk. But if you're going to brave it, I'd recommend using them post workout. You don't want to carb up like crazy right before your workout. Use a pre-workout instead for some extra energy. Plus I eat a really good meal about 2-3 hours before I workout.

But I still recommend keeping far, far away from the dextrose and maltodextrine shakes. Make your own instead. Unsweetened almond milk or non-fat milk with spinach, rolled oats, natural peanut butter, banana, quality whey isolate, etc. Blend that up and it will MUCH more beneficial for your goals.

i wouldnt use that unless you are ectomorph. and if you are, after you use that just make natural shakes after.

Lol alright. Yea I haven't used them.
Christian I make my shakes almost just like that.

Was just curious if they had a place or not.

Ya I'm with the other guys. I don't and won't ever use powdered carbs as shakes. There are much better edible carb sources out there you should be using. Nothing beats rice or a sweet potato post workout for your carbs

Nice! Oh yea, they totally have a place. Post workout is my preference. That's really the only "shake" I have. I like to get refueled really fast after a hard workout, so it's the perfect time for something like that.
