Building muscle on poor sleep cycle

New member
Hi guys,
I recently started a new internship, and for this internship I have a lot of travel and I also have to work some night shifts every weeks. After a couple weeks of work, I decided to start a sarms cycle (my second one, actually, got pretty amazing results with the first one) because I was losing strength every workout. It patched the problem for a couple of weeks, but now I am having a lot of difficulties making some gains, and my sleep quality is going down (I am usually at 70% deep sleep on my good night, and now I am between 40-50% on my best night sleep).

As far as my nutrition is concerned, I am doing a body recomp, eating 1.6 g of protein per pounds, 20% of my calories are from fat, and the rest is from carbs. My workout consist of 5x5 routine mixed with classic hypertrophy (had amazing results with this workout during my last sarms cycle, was breaking PR every week or almost). Even if my sleep is pretty bad, I still see my body slowly transforming, but my workout are really not consistent (I can do 6-7 reps of 60 lbs db press one workout, and the next one I can't even do 3 reps with the same weight).

I only have 6 weeks left of this internship, but I wanted to know if there was a way to minimize the strength loss, or to have a good workout even after a night of only 1-2 hours of sleep (really pisses me off every time).

Sorry about the long post, thank you very much!!

not really much to fight the strength loss, it's your body telling you something. as far ass having a good workout, try caffeine or a stimulant to get you more zoned in

not to mention 1-2 hours of sleep is super unhealthy, not just for muscle gains, but just overall health

Yeah, I know, I am trying to make up for loss sleep on the week-end, but it's not really the same thing as having good and consistent 8-9 hours of sleep every night ;)

You just really need to find a way to get the rest man. That's just not healthy at all in any way. Stimulants can help you when you are tired but that doesn't cure the problem which is lack of sleep

Your internal clock has got to be screwed, no way you can technically catch up on sleep, not the kind you're missing out on. Sucks to be you bro, glad your internship is almost over.

Are you having trouble getting to sleep once you finally are able to lay down? Dylan told me about BPI product called niteburn. I work out after work and pop one of those before bed and I'm out. My brain usually won't shut down at night and I have troubles getting to sleep even though I'm tired. Niteburn took care of that..

Yeah, I have more difficulty falling asleep, probably that my internal clock is messed up...

Ill check out niteburn, and try to take my stims only pre-workout so they hit harder!

Thanks for all your inputs guys!! :)

i just did a video on melatonin and it really explains a lot on your sleep patterns in general... are you going to be at odd times or just having trouble sleeping overall... have you considered adding mk677? this is the best compound to provide drastic positive changes in your sleep patterns... i would absolutely take a look at this option... here is a link to buy it... https://www.sarmsx.com/nutrobal-mk-677

If it were me I wouldn't workout at all through the week, I would just get as much sleep as I could and eat healthy. On e the weekend when your rested I'd hit all my pushing movements on Sat and all my pulling movements on Sun.

Best sleep I've been getting is while running mk677. I can't believe how restored I feel and my mind never stops. If you haven't tried that I would suggest giving that a try.

Mk-677 did enhance my sleep greatly. I don't know the extent of your issues, but it may be something that could benefit you, or at least worth a try

Sleep is one of the most important aspects of muscle gain. I know it's frustrating when sleep eludes you, which in turn can compound the issue by making sleep harder to come by. A vicious cycle. I truly feel relaxation techniques are so important. That in combination with magnesium, low dose melatonin, and cutting down on stims can be really powerful to get your sleep back on track. I wish you the best in your quest for a sound slumber!

Woah, thank you so much!
I think the final strategy for me will be mk-677, stims only for my workout days (in the morning so it doesn't affect my sleep), try to have consistent sleep on the days I don't work at night.

I'll probably be using some melatonin and natural herbs to help falling asleep faster. I really hope that I will be able to get better workout with the stimulants and better recuperation with mk-677, melatonin and herbs (lemon balm, valerian, etc.).

That sounds like a very good plan to me buddy. I think you'll enjoy that MK677. Just make sure you get it from www.sarmsx.com

There's a ton of bunk sarm companies out there and MK677 is the hardest to find legit

if you don't get good sleep enhancement with that stack then you may have some underlying issues that you should go to the doctor for... thats a damn good stack and should work incredibly well for you... keep in mind you need to stay on mk677 at the minimum 6 months but should run it a year.. you will absolutely love it... im always here if you have any questions on it..
