What do you guys think are the main reasons that some bodybuilders die? Just curious to know what causes it. They are obviously consuming a lot from all kinds of things but what would you say are the main things?

Skewed lipids and high RBC count, a.ong with hardening of the arteries and arterial plaque.....all this comes from being on for too long without coming off for the same length of time. You should also be doing things like giving blood often to keep hematocrit and RBC in check. Otherwise your blood thickens after every cycle and eventually will be so thick that your risk of heart attack and stroke is exponentially high.

There's also things like liver and kidney damage. The very large bodybuilders out a large strain on their heart from all the mass they carry around too. It's just not healthy at all. Your body doesn't know if it's fat or muscle when it comes to supplying blood to those areas. Your heart has to work just as hard either way. 300 lbs is 300 lbs

I was looking at a documentary this same lad That Done bigger stronger faster and one of the worst things that killed more people then every drug combined in America was painkillers . I saw another YouTube video of a pro bodybuilder and his advoice to was stay away from painkillers he got addicted to them. And nearly cost him his life.

true, I have heard that painkillers and diuretics are what causes bodybuilders to die eventually. They also carry a lot of mass which isnt good at all. They take large amount of hgh which makes everything in their body grow.

Heart attacks , your heart is a pump, when your blood gets thick as oil your heart can't pump efficient enough to work correctly then you get an enlarged heart . Not good .

Does your blood get thinner after many weeks of pct? or does it stay the same?

I try and donate every 2 months , it does keep my rbc in check.
I can't answer your question on thinner blood after pct , in theory yes it should be if your off of everything but only blood work will show you that.

That second question wasnt from me but cheers for your answears! Going to try to donate every 3 months.

That's too broad of a question to answer accurately bro. Some die of heart attack, yes, but others die of old age, car accidents, or become California's governor.

Really though, it's a number of things that eventually become too much for their bodies and they shut down. Massive amounts of AAS and insulin wreaks havoc on the heart and lipids, and you start to see issues with diabetes and kidney/liver failure.

Also, when you get to the big leagues in this profession, it's easy for guys who are already on a ton of illegal drugs to say yes to even more, so there's a huge problem with illicit drug abuse in pro bodybuilding. Guys take in a ton of narcotics, painkillers, you name it, and just like AAS, the more the better. Then, they'll want to go out and party in the off-season when they're traveling to do promo stuff or shoots, and go drink with all the hot bitches that are associated with those events...

So you have a body/organ system that's already strained due to the amount of mass it is trying to maintain, stuff in a shit ton of food with diets that aren't always the best, run massive amounts of gear, insulin, peptides etc, and then add in drugs and alcohol, and you have a recipe for disaster.

By the way, I've spoken with a lot of pros personally, and while a handful of them are very knowledgeable about AAS and training and diet, you'd be surprised at how mostly they're just guys with crazy good genetics who listen to their coaches and take whatever they tell them to. They don't know shit about what they're taking, and don't care, all that matters is being on the podium. Researching what they're doing has never crossed their minds, and most even think that they know it all because they are big as fuck and "my trainers said..."

19 contest prep athletes dead since January. Any clown can all himself a "coach"

Most coaches don't understand nutrition, pharmacology, or body mechanics. A real coach knows how to manipulate macros wen necessary, how to adjust water intake, and sodium and mineral manipulation.

And far too many coaches drop the ball AFTER the show, where guideance is needed more than ever. Use the "PCT is the most important part of the cycle" theory.

Make sure you do your homework, don't ever trust "Some guy @ the gym"

Stay safe brothers....

Totally bro! I think its a mixture between painkillers, diuretics, dehydration and a few other things that probably made these athletes die. Too much for their organs to handle. Bodybuilding is a dangerous sport so you better know what you are doing and not abuse these kinds of things..

Your RBC and hematocrit can lower a little after coming off but will generally still be elevate more and more each time you cycle. That's why giving blood is so important

Agreed completely bro. Well said!

You guys want a wake up call? Watch a competitor die...ON STAGE

New guys; you wanna know why we say the things we do? You wanna know why we give the answers we give?

You think this is a f-ing game?????

I think less die from gear and more die from recreational drug use in combination of taking gear irresponsibly. You'd be surprised the number of addicts you can find who also take gear in the same addictive manner.

Exactly. I dont drink or do none of that shit. I eat healthy take steroids and train hard which isnt going to cause much harm. I know plenty of guys who do the same as me and they have had no problems after all these years.

I donate every 8 weeks like clockwork, and I encourage anyone that cycles to do the same, or at least donate as often as you can

Hey Rick, can you explain please the exact reasons why it is very important to donate blood ? What's precisely the theory behind it ? Thanks !
