I guess it sucks for you buen. I also ordered Caber from Hippo and they were awesome. Got it in a week no problems. Sorry to say but the fact you live in Indonesia and you needed your stuff quick is not they way to do business when it comes to fear. The way it usually works is you sit tight and wait for your order. Stuff happens and an order that would take a week sometimes takes a month. U should know that going in. Especially when it comes with this business. If u don't have the time or patience to wait don't order.

Fuck... you just don't get it....it's not about me being patient... it about me having an order CONFIRMED by him as EXPRESS SHIPPING .... BEING CHARGED for express shipping....then when the order doesn't arrive ...being told express shipping isn't available....all he had to do was tell me that before he shipped
If a guy can't fill the order as presented ...don't send the order... how hard is that? Instead he sent me a bill for express shipping and let think it was being shipped express....and insult to injury ignore all my emails when I tried to resolve the issue

buen, you're my dude and although the circumstances are indeed grey as far as communication somewhat. Hipo is a great guy with a great track record, you're gonna feel how you feel and he is a busy man with me breathing down his neck, other clients and running a company to consider brother. Obviously you paid the express shipping. How, or why are to be determined. You've had several great transactions with us and one "mix up". We'll refrain from using the words 'not man enough', or liar and resolve this here and now. Conflict resolves nothing... fuck did I just say that??? Talk to whom the pack was delivered to and have it sent to you, PM me your circle pay info or paypal and I will reimburse you out of my own pocket for the express shipping fees. Where the fault lies is up in the air, some say you and you are arguing about the express shipping you paid for and subsequent miscommunication, but we need not bash a company for one "incident" when there are so many variables to consider, especially when you've had such a good track record with getting our deliveries, even now it is where it was addressed to go. I don't wanna hear anything about it wasn't my fault, or shit like that... you left me out of the equation brother. I'm here to be your direct line. I think that when Hipo sees PM's or emails from me he notices them among the sea of others. You didn't let me do my job, so I let you down brother... not Hipo, not hipocampus.me. For what its worth...I just had a little hiccup with Hipo and have to say he and 44's customer service was on point....long story short I've ordered from hipo over 10 times and noticed the pack was taking longer to land than usual....so I pm'd 44 and within an hour I had an answer...then hippo immediately emailed me saying that it should have already landed amd that it must have got lost in the mail...and he had already shipped out my order again....4 days later it landed with almost DOUBLE my order!!!!!! I didnt ask for this because i realize shit happens but he just threw in the extra goodies for anyway!!! Also...44 brought up a good point to me as well...hippo is on the other side Of the world from most of us and his country has different bank/postal holidays than we do...so If you pay on a Friday and funds collect on a Monday...throw in a few holidays (veterans day/thanksgiving ect....) plus his country has a holiday or 2 your pack is already going to land a week or so later than expected! Bottom line his customer service has always been great and if you have questions or need shit done pm 44!!!!! He is as solid as it gets
 
I placed an order with hippo this week and he has been nothing but amazing to me and his service is great . The 44 is as good of a person as they come nothing but respect for both of these guys ! Can't wait to receive my package keep doing what your doing :)
 
Most definitely appreciate the kind words fellas. I take what I do seriously and try to do right by ppl. buen is someone I respect, but sometimes "shit happens" and we just have to collect our thoughts and breathe. There aren't too many guys willing to reimburse you the express shipping fee outta their pocket, but it's buen and I got a lotta respect for the brother. I can only hope everyone sees that this was simply a misunderstanding and fukkit I'll take the blame because I'm not gonna allow a good guy like Hipo too.

You guys know i dont comment on sources or get involved whatsoever but this is not right... Now, I AM NOT saying buen doesn't have some sort of argument here and its a miscommunication etc and Im not saying he is wrong complaining... things do happen especially with the situation that was described but to make a thread saying beware, making scam inferences and reliability complaints is wrong... so your telling me if you order from amazon 20 times and 1 time its bad with slow communication etc. they are now not reliable... did you forget about the 19 good times? it was even admitted that all prior orders were done well.. this should never have been this publicized etc... i dont want involved but i do know this because ive known hipo for many years now... he is the furthest thing from a scam or from being unreliable... he is class personified... if you guys only knew how fucking hard i was on him when he first introduced himself many years ago and how he took it and never talked shit back etc... he was the ultimate professional and i had to eat my fucking words and happily did because he earned my respect... im not saying he or anyone else is perfect and im not saying mistakes are not made now and then but this was out of line, im sorry... it this was thousands of dollars, yes, make it a crazy public incident but it wasnt and it wasnt a normal situation... IM NOT SAYING hipo did everything right, clearly things went wrong and im NOT SAYING buen doesn't have a legitimate concern but this went WAY too fucking far and its just not true to say about him... im sorry but its just out of line...
 
Ive ordered from Hipo in the past, and had no problems. Plus, hes been around for a long time and has a good track record. He isn't a scammer bro. Maybe some miscommunication or mistakes happened, but not a scam
 
Knowing Hipo for a while now, he's always been a stand up guy who genuinely cares about the community. Shit happens and this is just one of those odd incidents. I see where both sides are coming from. Buen is upset because he's wondering why it even got far enough to be charged for a service (shipping) that couldn't be delivered. Hipo is saying payment info is sent automatically so he didn't actually confirm it and the info is publicly available online. I usually don't like getting involved with issues like this but there are things that both sides could have done slightly different to make this a smoother process but we're only human and people make mistakes.
 
I said BEWARE because...as hipo readily admits...he didn't respond to my emails...made no effort to resolve the issue... even when I asked him to plz respond or I would be forced to take it to the forum...he just totally ignored me

I really didn´t want to create more argument about this (actually I´m trying not to create polemical situations at all) but allow me to write a last answer here.

For years I had been known not just for the quality of the products I´m selling (we, actually, te whole team, but let´s put it on my person as I´m the last one taking decisions and the one about who buen is complaining) but also for the fast we answer the emails we receive ad our communication overall.

There are some shared behaviour in people that complaints about my lack of communication (3 people in the last two years as far as I remember). They try to let me know how to make my job and they talk to me or to my people in kind of disrespect way. And manners, to me, are very very important. When this happens I reply their first email providing the information they had asked for. And yes, I wont answer their next emails because there are really great people between my customers that requires my attention more than those guys.

Would I had reshipped his package if he would have reach to me in a nicer way? Probably yes. Probably no but for sure I would had offer him immediately a solution and we would agreed in some point, I´m sure about it.

The minute he said "reship my order to my XXXX addresss bla bla bla" I stopped reading, saying the truth.

And now, that your order was delivered in the shipping address you had provided us, let fix the Express Shipping mistake. Send me by PM a name that can collect the 35 USD difference between trackable shipping and the express one and your money will be refunded to you on Monday morning EU time.

Been ordering from Hippo for the last two years and every time I have it takes a lil while due to shipping abroad but it has always arrived and the products are always good. Sorry that shit happens but I have to say this is an exception as I will gladly chime in and say Hippo crew are solid. I have even seen the best sources have shipping issues and they normally sort it out. Remember a fair deal is a good deal on both sides. Just work it out wth 44 and Hippo they seem to be willing to go through the details and position themselves for a good outcome on both sides.
