As most of you guys know from Adrenaline Rush drb and jake had posted the 3 day tuna challenge, I will search for the original post and put it up for the isarms community or for them hardcore mofos 7-10 days of tuna and water only to get shredded. Well in exactly 1 week I will be banished to an Island in the Pacific for work for 4 days and all they have there is a bar and grill type food place. So I will accept this as a challenge to do the Tuna and water diet, I should be able to do it fingers crossed and this will be an opportunity that I can be an asshole to the sub-contractors working for us if I feel grumpy. I will take before and after pics and post them up as well.

You need to pay attention when on this diet. 3-5 days max. We recently found jake on the ground and incoherent. When the emt got there he was missing a finger. At the ER he was found to be totally dehydrated, his K to Na ratio totally of whack and had exhastive fatigue. This is why I have been in the states instead of home in Costa. He seems ok now but is acting as if he had a consussion. He fell about 25 feet but docs think he is fine. Of course the first thing they say is that his BF is to low....9%..wtf?
Putting things together we know he was workng long hours and had no time to eat. He was eating tuna. He blanked out while working on a pully cable from a sccoffold, the pully cut his finger and released his grip and he fell. This 2 weeks of tuna is not how you do this. This plus too much work, and no carbs is not a good combo.

Tuna for 3 days is meant as a jumpstart to your cutting diet. It gets you on track mentally. After 3 days you add some cottage cheese and slowly work your carbs back to the low end.
Though I am positive that Jake knew better, sometimes no matter how much we know, we still do not listen to ourselves.
So again..3 days of tuna and water as a mental challenge to get started on your cutting diet.

No more accidents and brain farts...please.

gotcha. damn he cut his finger off? tell him we are praying for a swift recovery. ya last time I only made it about 14 hours when the old lady tempted me with chili. haha and I fell for it. this time noone will be around. and I will not be exerting much energy except in the gym

well my story is this, One time Jake did the 2 week tuna challenge blacked out and I guess in his stupor was so hungry he ate his damn finger. Jake is hardcore, be like Jake lol not that it is funny what happened to him because it is not but that is the way I will tell it

Yeah he is a tough boy...actually, exceptionally tough.
He just got wrapped up in work. He was eating tuna for 2 weeks and only about 2-3 glasses of water. He is still getting IV fluids, but they think he will be fine.It looks like he lost the first joint of his pointer finger on his right hand. It was no where to be found. One thing you have to keep in mind on these no carb diets is that if you are doing work that requires concentration, or dexterity and patience, then don't do the diet. Jake is lucky he made 2 weeks the way he going about things. He is too old for me to chew him out but I may give it a shot...lol.

Dam bro, sorry to hear about Jake but also very glad that he is doing better now. God bless...

Jeez sounds super hardcore. Hope he's okay.. Anyone think this diet would be a good idea to do before a vacation ? (If I'm trying to look more shredded than usual). If so, How many days before the vacay?

Damn.. that sucks for Jake. Hope he has a speedy recovery. Always gotta be careful but he's not the only guy guilty of pushing the limits. We've all done it. Just another thing to learn from in life. Keep us posted brother!

im so sorry to hear this brother... if you need me at all, please don't hesitate to let me know and im here for you...

i hope everyone really pays close attention to this... no matter how well dialed in you are, or in shape, sometimes you take things to the extreme.. im guilty of this as well at times but its just not a good thing as you can see... it can happen to anyone at anytime... PLEASE listen to what drb said here and follow it properly... its words from the wise and it needs special attention given and paid to it...

Thanks all.He seemed ok today. Sometimes makes sense then sometimes don't, but he is still getting fluids. This was timely in that Dylan recently posted about no carb diets. They are fine to get a desired result , but they have many limitations. Yes they do work, but not for the long haul. All of the docs think he wil make a full recovery. I guess he is ok because he hit with his hard friggin head!

We have all pushed past our limits and did something foolish I know. But sometimes the gym life and real life don't mix so well. In jake's case he knew he was busy and tired so he should have made sure he had carbs and water...water..water.
If you want to do the tuna and water thing then read over it, and do it at a time when you are NOT pressured

The head thing is one of the main purposes of doing this. Jake had the whole mental issue tackled and was proving to himself that he was mentally tough. Just like too strict of a diet can make you embrace anorexia, any mental habit can be decieving. That is why 3 day intervals are best with ths diet.

I agree...I've always limited it to.3 days myself

ok so the 3 day tuna challenge went well, I suppose my pants are def looser. however I know the goal is to eat as much as possible the most I could eat in a day is 6 packs which is way below caloric intake. im talking 420 cals a day all 3 days maybe less. I took off the gym so I wouldn't pass the fuck out and my work was limited as well I did have a slight headache on into my sleep time. no scale on the island so I don't know how much weight I lost. its definitely easier on an island with no food every 30 yards are so for sure. so atleast I know mentally I can do it.
