well today is the BB check in.

Me and the mrs didnt make it to our goals in time. We got close.

I got down to 8% bf and 215#. I wanted 220# and 4-6%. Getting sick didnt help at the wrong time

She got down to 22% bf and 140#

She wanted 135 and 18%. For womens figure.

We got close.

We are going to check in and do the walk thrus and experience the whole setup. But not compete. There is a another show in may which we are primed for.

So we will be starting a new log soon to teack our next journey.

We had fun doing it and will be hooked for sure and keep doing this into our later years.

That's awesome regardless... The experience itself is worth it

That's exciting. I hope you guys end up doing the next one you have planned. I know it's a little different in bodybuilding but before my first powerlifting meet in 2012 I almost backed out because I didn't feel I was ready, I thought there were other things I could have been doing to get stronger. A friend of mine told me if you wait til you think you're ready you'll never compete because you can always be better, so just compete. It was some of the best advice ever given to me. If you still have the chance to compete today I think you should. Use it as a learning experience, and at 215 and 8% bf it's not like you'll be getting laughed off stage either.

It happens though man. This last one I went from 285 to 218 and was ready to come in on point but then work needed me in San Marcos.... I work at a smaller company so when shit comes up. Its not like I can day I had plans.

I've prepped down several times now I have some awesome coaches I find though that maybe I'm not intended to participate and my efforts are better spent helping others....

All my guys I help with prep and posing class do extreamly well. The NPC crowd is as hard core as it gets here.

Not to mention we are the epicenter of this massive change that happened.interesting to see how that plays out

I was asked to do the first show for the new league March 12th so maybe. We will see how it goes.

Ha ha. I know. But i like to win. We are doing the show in may for sure this was like a trial run we learned alot about what our bodies need to be ready. We just didnt start cutting early enough. So we have a new plan already started. We are gonna keep cutting thru the holidays and then jan start muscling up again.

I like it better. Im not trying to get to 270 and all that. Im tall and long limbed so i could support it. 6'2". The highest i was when bulking for this show was 235. But then i got sick for two weeks really bad and lost it. Dropped to 220.

For me 225 and 4-6%. Woukd win me this show. So i got close. Cause the guys here arnt that impressive. I vould probly do it and olace well but i wanna WOW people my fistt tine.

But now i got the formula figured. So come may. Im taking that shit. Lol

At least you are being honest with yourselves only you know if you are ready or not. Congrats on getting down to tha bf percent. That in itself is a damn acomplishment.

Dam bro.I am 215 and 10% BF. Takes a lot of work doesn't it? No one in my family has ever been in shows. Dad used to go watch arnold when he first came to the states, and I went to a MrO one time with dad and saw a guy win that had one leg totally undeveloped. It was early 70's and a guy named Franco won. Never got interested in that scene, and never read the mags much. I guess because I always heard dad say they were all full of shit...in denial of juicing and saying supps did it for them.
I also have no idea how to pose...except for wifey of course....lol. But I do admire their discipline. I have had buds in shows who come back saying I would have won it, but it just ain't my thing . Also I see these guys not workout as hard as I do but use a lot more juice and they all use insulin which isn't in my book. For insulin I just say no!!

Not trying to discourage you in any way.I am impressed. Try to hold on to that weight and BF and then next go around you can reach your goal. You are my age too...so get to it while the sun shines.

That's awesome man. I'm stoked to see you're log. Ya I'm 6'1 maybe 6'2. Took me forever to get over the 240 lbs hump. It was hell. But now I'm omw over the 300 lbs mark. If I can get to 305 310. Il drop down and just do super heavy. The HW class was a stretch for me and doable but this time I'm not even gonna bother with it.

can't wait to see you're plan bro. We may actually end up competing around the same time if I get my shit together.

I think I'm gonna roll with NPC GLOBAL and give it a shot since I know Lee and that all happened here in TX. I don't plan to be winning any Sandows so I wanna have fun with it.

What division is you're wife doing?

Its rough lemme tell you. Alot of days not eating anything good. Just egg whites and boiled chicken no flavor no fun. Lol.

We are hooked tho. This is our couples time. We are locked in and dedicated.

We are actually kind of addicted to it. Lol
