What are you listening to when you train?

That's the one.
Tool, Primus, Coheed & Cambria. Hell yeah.

The next day is awesome too.
Linkin Park, Rob Zombie, Deftones, Puscifer.

Ahh Deftones are one of my 2 favorite bands. I even have white pony and diamond eyes tattoos.

I listen to different stuff on different days.

For whatever reason I can't get through an arms day without some Taylor Swift.

Chest day I'll slam some pantera, maybe disturbed something along those lines.

Back day lately I've been listening to the Southpaw soundtrack. That beast song by rob bailey, and a few songs by eminem.

Legs day and this is 100% serious, legs day is boy band day for me. I listen to Nsync and the backstreet boys, and things of that nature. A little strange but whatever.

When I hop on the treadmill to do some cardio I'll throw on a podcast most likely JRE and listen to that.

Dude, that is pretty unorthodox and strange, but whatever works for ya LOL!!

Nothing but metal for me. Lamb of God, Slipknot, Meshuggah, shadows fall, killswitch engage, Hatebreed, five finger death punch, mudvayne, August burns red, Parkway drive,....just to name a few

This is exactly what I listen to

Today it was an eclectic mix: Blind Guardian, The Audition, Pantera, Anberlin, Sonata Arctica, and Rhapsody of Fire. Aw yeah!

My go to for weight training is usually death/tech death like Nile, Nile, Amon Amarth or metalcore like Ghost Inside, For The Fallen Dreams, I saw Parkway and As I Lay Dying mentioned by a few as well.

On the flipside, I'm finding on this first test cycle I feel so amazing some Dutch trance music has made it back into rotation.

For running, it's always new skool happy hardcore/rave music.

Listening music is fine. However, keep in mind that the more focus on muscle movement the better. Just like Arnold said, you want to focus on the muscles as much as possible, get inside the muscle, put all the attention there. Arnold would not even answer a phone call to avoid getting distracted while training. There are people that go to the gym and they are totally distracted while lifting, well they won't get far. Or when I go to the park running, I see some people completely assorted into their problems, with their head looking down instead of focusing on the beauty of nature. What's the point on going to the park if their mind is not there. The concept of being present ! This could be a bit off-topic, but I still wanted to mention it since it could be of help.

Well said man. I agree with you completely.

For me music helps me focus more and drown out all the bullshit distractions.

The mind is certainly the most influential part of transforming the body.

I worked for Nile's old label for years. Karl Sanders is so amazingly short but SHREDS on guitar.

I usually listen to gorilla biscuits minor threat or I go nas or bob marley depends on the day

I dj mostly for hobby so as you can imagine I have a ton of music, records, cd's, cassettes, you name it I probably got the medium.

Oddly though when I work out or ride my bike I don't like to have music - I would much rather focus in on what I am doing in the weight room or if riding become more immersed in my enviroment.
