Vegan strongman eats one hour a day

I think vegans can make gains just as well as meat eaters. There protein is actually underestimated in how much you can get, they do have to ensure a full amino acid profile through correct mixture however. B vitamins are more of a danger to vegan than protein IMHO. All that said, I'll take my meat, thanks.

Yeah it's not the protein it's that most vegans don't know how to be a healthy vegan. They don't know about complete proteins for the most part.

My old Shukokai sensei talked about this 15 years ago.He ate meat though,he only ate once a day & I think it was more like 2500 calories.I've dabbled with IF for years & it really works.Your body feels much cleaner & the hunger goes away once you get used to it for awhile. It usually takes about a week.

Yep, I did IF religiously for about 3 years. It works great and I actually made great gains while on it. I was able to have much more leniency in my diet as well, and stay in really good condition. There's a lot of benefits to IF that many people don't even realize.

I even have a pretty extensive article that I wrote on it in here somewhere

It is true that some plant proteins are relatively low in certain essential amino acids, but the myth of “protein combining” is just a fallacy and was refuted decades ago by medicial science. The myth that plant proteins are incomplete, that plant proteins aren’t as good, that one has to combine proteins at meals—these have all been dismissed by the nutrition community as myths decades ago. Yet people still think it's true.

You can gain muscle, regardless of the protein source. :)

Where and how did they disprove it? Combining foods that have different aminos gives you more aminos and hence you get 9 essentials as opposed to eating just rice protein which gives only some. There's no way to disprove that it's like 1+1= 2

Or are you saying you don't need all 9 essential aminos to build muscle? Saying combining foods to get a complete amino profile doesn't make sense. That's like saying 1+0= 2 and you don't need another 1.

Most plant proteins are incomplete when it comes to essential aminos. That's not a myth it's just a nutrition fact. Muscle is made from a specific combination of amino acids and they're called essential because your body won't make them by itself. If love to see the proof of that being a myth.

OK to simply things from what I said. Eating a wide variety of whole, plant-based foods will provide you with all the essential amino acids your body needs for optimal growth, repair, and health. The whole food combining is a myth in regards to, you don't need to do it every single meal of every day.

People in Western worlds aren't deficient in protein, more life fiber, antioxidants and so forth.

Oh yeah that makes sense. However I think it would be difficult to be MR. O on a vegan diet without getting complete proteins every meal.

That's taking things to another level, but I would agree with you on that. The volume of training, supplements plus mixture of drug use would definitely require complete proteins every few hours lol.

Building strength and muscle for non Mr O's on a vegan diet ins't impossible, but simply requires more nutritional knowledge.

Drinking made me lose weight. People started asking if I was sick. Hard to get enough calories for maintenance from beer
