I am a lactose sensitive/allergic person, and I am a natural bodybuilder. The problem is that I am starting to feel that I am getting close to my limits, and it would be cool to have a little help. Which supplements would be safe for me to take? Can I use protein, or all of the proteins have lactose? What else can I take?

Whey protein powder and caesin powder are both derived from milk. You would have to read the labels and see how much sugar is in them since it varies from brand to brand. There are many other types of protein powders that do not come from milk. There is vegetable, soy hemp, pea, meat etc.

Check it out http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/search?search=protein+powders+excluding+whey#

NonGMO soy and pea protein together creates and almost identical protein to whey. I would avoid soy personally but definitely avoid GMO soy

Soy, rice, or pea protein are options. There's also a couple beef proteins out there too

(PM me for a price list for Biotech Labs and 10% discount)

Oh wait... Maybe it's rice and pea that form complete protein... Can't remember

theres plenty of different types of protein out there for you... go to www.truenutrition.com and you can customize your protein blends exactly how you want them and i assure you, there are MANY options for you to choose from that do not have any sort of lactose in them...

fellow lactose intolerant person here

I'm a big fan of isopure. Their whey protein isolate is lactose free.

If you're looking for a high protein snack the No Cow protein Bars from D's Natural and all of the cookies from Lenny & Larry are lactose free and taste awesome!
