Shoulder and Glute Injection correlated with needle gag and Length suggestions. Plus location to purchase products.

Looking for advice on what gag and length needle to use to inject in my deltoid and glutes. As well as what size needle to aspirate the fluid from the bottles. Also where is a good place to buy the needles.

You could use a 5/8 25 or even smaller if you have the patience. I prefer a 22g x 1.5 inch for everything. I do not find that bigger pins hurt anymore than smaller ones. It must be a mind thing. Just for grins I had someone inject me in both delts. I could not tell. I have been known to be in a hury and use 18 x1.5 but maybe I am a freak. So if you are quesey then go 5/8 by 25. If you dont care and are not worried and want to get the pull and push over with then go 22x1.5.

I also keep in mind that whan big pharm stuff came out it was usually called depot. Meaning a deposit of crystals were to form and the deeper in the better. So that is why I like 1.5 inches. I know dam well that depot is way way down inside (quoting led zepplin).

I prefer a 25g needle for all injections. I draw with a 22g

As for length I use 1.5" for glutes and quads. For delts I would use a 1"

Only been pinning for 3 weeks so far and I've only pinned delts. I draw with 18g and pin with 23g 1in. Can't feel a thing. Just make sure you inject slowly and massage site after. Help lessen pip

That's really interesting (and the second time I've noticed you bring it up). Do you think the carrier oil has much of an impact on things in any way?

Would something compounded in EO behave the same as oil?

In this case I was bringing up the fact that when big pharm came out with test that the prescribing info said "deep IM". I am not talking carrier here. The topic is pin size. So I was explaining why I prefer a 1.5 inch needle, hence the led zepp quote...way way down inside (from whole lotta love). Get the gear deep into the muscle was the original idea.
Back to your other topic. Your body separates the carrier from the gear and leaves a depot. If the gear is in water your body very quickly knows how to rid the water. So aqueous means more pip and faster action. Me personally...I am in no hurry so I like oil. EO is fine but there is a segment of the popluation that is allergic to it

5/8 25ga for me. I draw and inject with the same needle. I don't find that I have any issues breaking the skin. But I am running only one compound (Test). It might not be the same with multiple oils.
