How do you know your shutdown, do you have blood work that indicates low Test levels? Have you been to see a doctor? 250mg a week is not a TRT dose. Generally TRT doses run from 100mg-200mg a week. You really need a blood test to evaluate what's going on.

You really need to get blood work and work with your doctor on this one. This will be the safest way to get a proper TRT dose if needed and the doc can monitor you through blood work.

We need much more info man. How do you know you're shutdown? Did you get bloodwork done overtime that reflects this? What symptoms are you experiencing? Have you seen a doctor? 13 years is a very long time to go without addressing the problem if you're aware of it.

I had my testorone tested many time. always between 7-8 on a 9.9-30 scale. Drs no help. It took 13 year because of alcohol dependent. I was like this for 12 year. i want to fix now because been sober for a year.

Congratulations on your 1 year sobriety. I'm a recovering addict/alcoholic myself, coming up on 3 years sober. I can appreciate your desire to take action and get your life/physical health back on track, but putting yourself on TRT at some random dose is not the way to go about it. When was the last time you had a blood test? Have you had a follow up blood test since you started giving yourself injections? Also, 250mg per week is not a TRT dose. Short story, need blood work otherwise we can only speculate.

Sounds like you are a prime candidate for TRT. Could be from the alcoholism, could be a number of other factors as well. Best advice I can suggest is to find a hormone doctor in your area and make an appointment. Tell him about your symptoms now and your past. He will send you for (yet another) blood test and from what you're saying should prescribe TRT.
Personally I feel that this is a better option that self medicating.

Hey, good work on being sober for a year. I'm on day #480, my goal was 500 days, however, I'm going to continue. Anyway, I'm parallel in starting self-trt and I'm getting my bloods done this week.

Thanks for posting your numbers. When was the last time you gave yourself an injection? According to your numbers, your Test Levels are low, your Estrogen and SHBG is high, but your LH and FSH is within range?!?! I have my opinion on what I think is going on, but it's just my opinion. I will let one of the more experienced members chime in on this one.
Sorry to hear that,And congrats on staying sober .The alcohol definetly messed up your T levels but as everyone said get labs and this will be over.Itll be clear as how to handle this.Im guessing its an easy fix though.Good luck bro.
