In the usa they no longer put as much credibility on the psa as they used to. They have decided that the finger is actually better. My wife does mine...picked that little tip up from drb

I haven't got my wife nurse to accept doing that route yet, but after Drb mentioned it I did actually ask!, lol

Hi guys I'm into my 5 week of test e cycle 300mg a week, I went and had bloods done and a psa and my psa results were not good it was 9.2 some one of my age should be 3 I went and seen a doctor yesterday and he gave me a Rectum exam and he said he could not feel any nasties he go to refer me to a specialist I no that on test can enlarge the prostate I have no symptoms I piss like a race Horse I do wee a lot but I also drink lots of water, have any one of you experienced This or know somebody who has and should I stop my cycle or change to something less androgenic ? Cheers guys

From my understanding on cycle(increasing testosterone levels) will always cause you prostate to grow(swell). An increased prostate size in cases like this is normal...its when you got cancer or other issues that cause it to grow is when you should be concerned. I'm not a Dr. but if ne one else can back this statement or heard of the such please fill in.

Not so.Mine never changes and neither does my psa.Also please understand that there is not one single study ever done that connects prostate cancer to aas.

It's not test that has potential directly, it's the DHT it turns into @5AR. Which is why all prostate supps are DHT 'blockers' of some kind. And also why it is proposed to happen when you are on higher levels of testosterone - so long as it is converting to DHT.

Jake is right. It's a wildly debatable topic. Some studies seemed to assume that raised DHT and in turn PSA (esp from exogenous steroids) caused cancer. Or increased the risk. Yet other studies show that men with low DHT and PSA levels still actually had cancer - and maybe even their low levels could have been a cause of it, in and of themselves. I think there's probably also see-saws; low DHT high PSA, and vice versa.

There's still much to learn. We've been on this earth 6 million years and literally only in the last 50 years have scientists actually began cracking testosterone's hormonal coding. Mind blowing when you think about it like that. We've only just begun.

The only universal understanding we have is that an enlarged prostate is not a good "sign". Not necessarily a "bad thing", but it's a sign to go and get a checking done to see if there is a real problem. Same deal with PSA. Just a potential warning.
