Pinned for the first time today

Howdy guys,

So I'm starting my cycle tomorrow. But I decided to go ahead and pin my 350mg test cyp tonight in my glute to get it over with. I didn't want to stress out all night long, so I just went for it.

Things went about how you'd expect for a first time. I was sweating, hands were shaking and I'm sorry to say that I made the stupid mistake of not swabbing with the alcohol pad before pinning. I realized this only AFTER the needle was in. Dammit!!! <sigh> Anyway, I'll hope for the best and do better next time.

Here are a few things I found notable about the experience.

1) No pain. In fact, I felt nothing. AT ALL. I could hardly believe it. All that worry for absolutely nothing.

2) It took a lot more pressure to inject the test than I thought it would. I went really slow and took my time. But wow...it took quite a bit to get it to go in! Is that normal? Also, I'm using these big 5cc syringes. In hindsight I should have probably got smaller since I'm only using 1.4cc of the 5. Could that have something to do with why it's tough to inject?

So I will be starting a cycle log tomorrow. Now that I have fumbled my way though my first pinning, I'm hoping the future ones will be less stressful and I'll do better going forward. :)

thanks for sharing your experience bro... the 5 cc syringe is definitely slowing things up... if you don't need it then 3 cc is just fine bro... that's great you had no pain... always remember that its not a race... if you ever need further guidance, we are all here to help...

Make sure to aspirate (although the glutes are usually a safe bet) and i prefer a 25 gauge syringe 3cc. Inject slow, wait a few seconds then remove slowly. Sometimes if you remove your syringe too quickly your compound may ooze back out, so take your time.

Thanks Dylan. Yea, I think I'll order the smaller syringes. :)

Good tip about removing the needle slowly. I don't think I did that either. Next time for sure! Thanks!

Ha ha.... Thanks for sharing... You'll get better with each time... I take up to a minute sometimes to push the syringe... Definitely take your time

Also you can expect some mild PIP up to a few days after until your muscles get adapted but definitely shouldn't be getting anything too serious

Funny what tricks your mind can play.If it tells you that pinning hurts then it will hurt...when in reality you can barely feel it. When I was trying to find out what caused pip I shot 10cc oil twice right into the same spot. Did not have all day so I used a 18g. THAT is why it takes so long. A lot of guys still have the mental thing and want to use 25g pins. I use a 22 x1.5 for everything. The barrell does not matter much because the final pressure of the push is on the diameter of the barrel nipple.Even when I use an 22g pin it still takes time to do 3-5 cc. If you want to use those smaller pins you could do quads. You just sit comfortably and flex your quad. Take a look at the muscle and eyeball where you want to pin. I like closer to the knee. Then relax and stick your 25g where you envisioned. Now you are relaxed and comfy and have all the time you need because it is a easy place to pin. Also some guys warm their gear in a pan of water first, which helps the oil to move a lot easier. Even just running the vial under hot water will work.
Also wipe your skin before and after.. and wipe your septum before and after. If you plan on using only 1-2 cc then go ahead and get some 5 mls barrells. Always aspirate...just pull back about 2 little marks on the barrell. Good luck..if you have problems or questions we are here for you.
And welcome to club! You are now a member of the dirty rotten cheaters club...lol.

another tip which works for me is to massage the area after injection is complete, if you leave a mass of oil without massage you CAN experience discomfort in that area, so for me I always do a deep tissue massage in the injection area to prevent discomfort ;)

Absolutely..good point. I take a knuckle and push really hard all around the area. Mostly I do this because I use larger volumes of oil.

Injection technique will get better and better with each injection to where it's nothing but second nature. I definitely don't see the need for 5cc syringes. I've never even used them myself. 3cc should be plenty. I'm also curious what size needle and gauge you are using, which can make a big impact. You certainly want to inject slow and withdraw the needle slow. Don't ever get into a rush with injections

Hi Rick. I went with 23 gauge and 1 inch for inject. I know I should have gone with 1.5, but dude...I chickened out. LOL Now that I know this isn't a big deal, I'll order the 1.5 inch ones. :)

Yeh 1.5" is definitely what I prefer. I like to get that oil in deep into the muscle

Ha. Its not that bad at all. But I know the first time is always a killer.
Depending on what size pin you use, can also be a reason for it to push slowly. Good job brother

LMAO. Dude i shook and got sweaty for weeks. Then what i said ill never do thighs. Lol i did thighs 3 times. The 4th time was just recent and i have been doin cardio twice a day and my quads are like fuckin concrete. Dont know why i was nervous but i hit and jumped, my quad flexed and the pin came out, now being more nervous i hit again jumped again and lost total control of the syringe it flew onto the floor. Now im bleeding from 2 places sweating, and sayin to myself wtf had to change tips and then the 3rd time was a charm. So for me it just depends on what day it is guess. It can be difficult at times. You will get better
