Welcome. You have a good Doc. Most of them assholes will tell you that you are fine and it's to be expected at your age and offer you no help.
I went to 5 different Docs and they did not know a thing about Testosterone then I pulled out a Book from dr Morganthaler who is the head of urology at Harvard and told the DR you need to read this and then talk to me. According to him below 450 is considered low T. I said to the DR don't treat numbers treat people I have all the symptoms of Low T. Their reply is according to the labs you are in the normal range. I said then if I had a thyroid problem you would treat this hormone but not my Test what is Doc you dont want me to feel young again lol
I hear ya man. The docs just don't get it. They don't have the knowledge about TRT and what really is a good range. I qualified for TRT with my doc because my levels were only around 200, but we could not see eye to eye on injection dose and frequency. He originally wanted me on gel and I wouldn't have it. Then it was he would do an injection of 200mg every three weeks. I told him I needed to be around that dose every week to be in upper normal range, and if he understood half lives he would know that every three week injections would put me on a roller coaster and leave my levels tanked by the time my next injection came around. It was also going to cost me way too much for a visit every time to get an injection, so I just said fuck it and I self prescribe now. I know what I need and I do it for tiny fractions of the cost that docs want for their subpar care
