Hello, guys- First all, Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to read this. As it was my first experience, I wanted to be thorough with my thoughts.
I wrapped up my first cycle at around the start of the year. I understand and knew going in that test prop was not the most ideal for a first time cycle primarily due to the frequency of injections, but I didn't have too much trouble. Another perk was the quick transition into PCT. I did get to sample Pharmalady's Test Prop at the very end of my cycle and I noticed a huge difference in strength and muscle hardness over the likely-underdosed Naps stuff.
Stats-
Will be 32 years old in Feb, 6', starting weight was 184lbs, starting bf was 12.5%, been training for about 5 years and am a certified personal trainer and do that part time when I am not grinding away in my office during the day.
Weeks 1-8: 100mg Geneza Test Prop (Did the NapsGear rite of passage, never will again because it took them friggin forever to get it to me!
Weeks 1-8: .25mg Arimidex EOD (alternated with inj days)
Weeks 9-12: Nolvadex 40/40/20/20
Weeks 9-12: ISatori Isa-Test GF (Natty Test Booster)
Additional Supplements included good multi, fish oil, 2 whey protein shakes a day, BCAA's, and a baby aspirin daily. Also took Liv 52 just to be a bit safer even without any methylated orals present.
My ideal/goal weight would be about 195lbs/9% bf. My diet is clean about 80-85% of the time, macros being about 40/35/25. Workout split was Push/Pull/Legs twice a week with 3 heavy days (4-6 reps) and 3 lighter days (7-10 reps) each week.
All in all, on my last inj day of the cycle (Jan 2), I weighed in at about 196lbs and the calipers measured me in at around 11.3% bf, so I feel like I made good overall gains. I learned a lot and if I had to say what the one thing that I gained from this experience, would be the breakthrough of a long-time plateau. Tomorrow will be my last week of PCT and my big lifts are all holding substantially higher than what they were when I started, although my strength has dropped as expected since coming off. Energy and strength crashed really hard the first 3-4 days, but that was the worst that I experienced. The boys look to be recovering well (obviously the first time you see them shrunken and drawn up, its a bit nerve racking), and my energy is close to normal. No water retention or estrogen sides. Current weight is about 190lbs
The only side effects that I noticed on cycle was a bit more hair than normal on my back (I manscape daily, so I could notice the speed at which it grew easily), bad insomnia the first few nights of the cycle and fatigue the first week or so which I attribute to my Adex dose being higher than needed at .5 EOD.
I am continuing to push myself hard in the gym while giving myself ample time to recover with extra rest days, doing one of Jim Stoppani's plans- Superman 2, which is an Upper/Lower x 2 a week superset program. I have read from multiple places that it is recommended to workout primarily for maintenance during PCT to avoid overtraining when running on less than ideal test levels as well as that you have to continue to go balls deep in the gym so as to not lose your gains. I think the first sounds far more plausible but I was curious about how you guys vary your training while on cycle, off cycle, during PCT- be it intensity, duration, frequency of the week, or even workout splits and rep ranges.
I already have my second cycle planned to start at the end of April. This time going with Pharmalady and have already started getting things together.
Weeks 1-12: 400mg Test Cyp
Weeks 1-6: 60mg Tbol
Weeks 9-14: 50mg Proviron
Weeks 1-14: 12.5mg Aromasin
Weeks 1-6: CEL Cycle Assist
PCT:
Weeks 15-18
Clomid at 50/50/25/25
Nolvadex at 40/40/20/20
Aromasin at 12.5mg EOD
Likely a Natty Test Booster + DAA
I have asked Dylan about cycles and he has recommended SARMS to me. While I am interested to try them, I do want to avoid trying more than one additional compound at a time so that I can learn as much as I can about effects, expectations, etc rather than taking 4 or 5 compounds and trying to figure out what to attribute results to. I do plan to try S4, MK2866 and GW 501516 down the road though, but with a lower dose of Test Cyp at 200mg to really be able to better differentiate the effects of new compounds. Overall, I'm glad that I decided to take a step into this world and look forward from learning/growing with you guys!
