My dumb ass!!!

Now I'm pretty sure people know that lower lumbar problems have a lot to do with stretching and lack there of. Therefore, it is a great idea to stretch, especially first thing in the morning. Well I got "Firemans" syndrome and try to take care of everything in 30mins including the 20min drive to work. So this morning I was rushing my ass off and this is prolly one of the stupidist stories other than pulling your back during sex. I just filled up my dogs water bowl and was not having a nice power stance placing the bowl down, and at this very moment of non sure footing I had to cough. No joke guys, outta all the weight I push in the gym a damn cough threw out my back. So I can currently bend over about three inches. SUCKS!!! So other than deadlifts, streching under hot water, and stretching; anyone got some good ideas for treatment?

Lay on your back & stretch your hamstrings extensively for at least 10min every day.I got a messed up back too. This helps some.

I'v had that happen while flexing my whole body. And other dumb ways as well. Shit happens. It usually takes a damn week to go away!

okay bro... i broke my back over a decade ago, i have degenerative disk disease since my teens, severs lumbar and sciatic issues, etc... so i know just a thing or two on rehabilitation for this... DO NOT go to the chiropractor... thats the worst thing you could do... what you need is manipulative therapy... im lucky enough to have a massage therapist that grasps this concept... they push and massage your back into place... it can be painful to do but when its done, its unreal how you end up feeling... its all manipulation of muscles and moving nerves... your going to be inflamed and your nerves are going to flare etc... this all gets worked out... you just need to find either a sports medicine clinic or just a person's clinic where they do this kind of therapy...

It always happens to me when I'm setting something down too.Almost never lifting anything.

It almost sounds like your talking about shiatsu, with the whole pressure stuff. It is muscle and nerves, lower left right by kidney, just pulled the shit outta it.

no fuck shiatsu... they rub your back into place as well as push and pull etc... trust me, it works better than anything and it actually holds into place... instant relief...

I go to a massage therapy place (without happy endings sadly) that does this as well. You'll feel great afterwards. I also like to supplement with pain killers- been on them for roughly 20 years for various reasons. I'm a fan of Flexeril, Percocet, Tylenol 3 (codeine), Gabapentin mixed in assorted ways with an allergy pill to get relief. Nothing more relaxing than a hot ass shower and two percocets with a tylenol migraine, or ibuprofen chaser.

brother be very very careful... pain killers and steroids is a certain early death and THAT is not bull shit... i wont touch them, i wont be in the same room as them and i barely even take an ibuprofen unless im just in agony... just be very very careful... ive seen so many premature deaths because of this combo and thats NOT an exaggeration or bullshit.. its very very real... they DO NOT mix whatsoever...
