How are users effecting longevity and quality of life with AAS in terms of lifespan and quality of life in regards to cardiovascular health?

Any tips on protecting the cardiovascular system during anabolic use?

I have been hearing that HDL and LDL maybe scewed by steroid use and that during use the numbers might be irrelevant . From my own research I have found this to be broscience. Any one have input on this.

Currently taking fish oil I wanted to know dosing that could effectively help prevent heart disease.

Also COq10 enzyme is being used.

Regular cardiovascular stimulation and watching the diet cholesterol restrictive manner.

I would be using GW to help keep you lipid profile in check. I know it's helped me big time. Fish oil is great as well as essential fats.

To be honest, i think someone who take steroids but live the healthy lifestyle will have less trouble with bad cholesterol than someone who is inactive and eats whatever he wants. And most of these people won't have any major problems related to high bad cholesterol. I heard about a study where some people were on a steroid cycle but were eating clean vs some others who ate McDonalds 2 times a day for 1 month and were not on AAS. After 3 weeks, the second group had like 2 times higher cholesterol.

For cholesterol, i just take fish oils, eat oats, almonds, reduce alcool and im perfectly fine

I love GW but I am not convinced it is safe. USADA's warning was enough for me to put it down.

MCDonald's is not the gold standard in diet

My father eats all healthy foods no jack what so ever and has high cholesterol genetics I believe the pharmaceutical company want to push there liptor crestor ever since they put my pops on it he has so many sides he dropped it and feels better

Obviously not a physician, but I agree. Statin are over prescribed IMO. I personally think they should be reserved for the significant outliers like 200+ LDL, which isn't too common.
I'm not a Dr either but my grandmother pasted away at 97 years old and her cholesterol was considered bad did not take any pills.

Fact. More people have heart disease n heart attacks with good cholesterol than the ones with bad..I made a post about it months ago...

I was on stains for 15 years and got off...
my Doctor told me that 95% of the people that die of a heart attack have good cholesterol levels....

So what does it all mean

Yea..science is still learning cholesterol..it's in its infancy at best...I personally don't care whether mines good/bad unless the numbers changed dramatically. When it comes to steroids I'd keep a close watch on liver ,kidneys, and blood pressure..those are ones that could get u into real trouble quickly

1,000% gold standard truth here. Medicine has changed its view of cholesterol and still doesn't quite understand it. We know that one is 'good' and one is 'bad' but we don't intrinsically know any more than that. The understanding used to be those with jacked cholesterol regardless were more likely to die. Then it became those with higher bad cholesterol. Now both have essentially been proven well... not *wrong* per se, but just not all that accurate. It followed the whole 'saturated fat' thing being the devil, which followed fat itself being the devil. Which is just not true either.

Plenty of other things to watch out for.

What Angelo mentions above is also correct - and I was one of them. Because I had a pituitary problem, my body wasn't making that much LH and therefore that much Test. And steroid hormones are made and processed from cholesterol. So when those hormones aren't being converted, cholesterol goes through the roof. And mine did. It's a surrogate marker for having low T - high cholesterol.

Getting on TRT actually LOWERED my cholesterol back into normal with the feedback loop.

Controlling your diet, and taking the proper amount of time off or cruising at a normal TRT dose are the best things to do. Of course supports like fish oil, etc can help....and another great one is GW with its positive effects on lipid profile
