Leg cramps

Member
I drink about 1.25 gallons of water per day take an excellent multi/mineral supp. Lately my I.T bands on my legs are ridiculously tight and cramp when I stand up and stretch or flex my quads hard. This is the only muscle group that does it, and I mobilize daily with a lacrosse ball, or rumble roller. These help develop slack and relieves the overall tension for a bit, but then goes right back to cramping.

Obviously i notice it more on leg day, but nothing cramps during work.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I'll start using it again. Weird that it popped up now.

Seems as though the leaner and stronger I get, the more this occurs. Could also be i havent been on my trt in quite a while. *shrug

yeah i would try the taurine. also how is your potassium and sodium?

have you been doing a lot of running? does it hurt on side of knee or lower thigh portion? or middle or up towards gluteal attachment?

i would take a couple days off, or at least not do legs for a bit and give it some rest. take hot baths in epsom salt and massage it. stretch after hot bath.

also an old school chinese remedy, cut a ginger root. heat some minyak gosok up. dip root in minyak and massage into sore areas.

It does make sense as you get stronger because of the extra workload.
