So today I was at work... doing some trim work and just starting my day when I noticed some tightness in my knee. I rubbed my knee cap and felt this golf ball sized lump which came almost from nowhere. It was alarming and quite discerning because today was SUPPOSED to be leg day. Im following the R.I.C.E. treatment and took a couple ibuprofen for swelling. Im hoping its nothing too serious. Im pretty sure it is from my kneeling on the hardwood floors all week cutting in trim. Anyone have experience with this? Bursitis??

I've had similar things happen before. I'm an industrial electrician and if I work at a low height where my knees are on concrete all day they can swell up a bit. They go down on their own, at least in my case. I'm guessing it's nothing more than that if there's no pain, but I would still rest it a bit and listen to your body. Keep an eye on it for any changes

Hate to tell you this brother but recently the medical field has pretty much shown the R.I.C.E. strategy to extremely defective. It has been replaced with R.I.C.E.N. by most reputable Doctors.

I wouldn't worry too much about it brother. Looks like Infrapatellar Bursitis. It should go down on it's own. Just rest it, apply r.i.c.e, and avoid putting any pressure on it (kneeling down, etc). You could take some ibuprofen if needed. I had something similar before and I picked up some gel knee pads. Seriously... much better than kneeling on concrete lol.
