Ahhh.... Just gave blood... I feel better now...

The Red Cross donor bus came to my job site. Didn't even have to clock out or anything.

I'll be donating tomorrow. Its wierd how rejuvenated I feel after donating.

I'm just getting into the routine because I'm planning to run EQ next cycle

It's every 8 weeks like clockwork for me bro. Just went less than two weeks ago

I do double reds at one center then half way through the waiting period I donate whole blood at a different organization.... keeps my crit right where it needs to be

people would be surprised how shitty you can feel if your crit of hemoglobin are up. I have issues outside of AAS that raise mine. (polycythemia)

I doubles every so often also. I probably will be doing that during my next donation since I will be on EQ

That's no joke.....and another reason I always feel incredible after donating

What's doubles?

Double red cell donation is similar to a whole blood donation, except a special machine is used to allow you to safely donate two units of red blood cells during one donation while returning your plasma and platelets to you.

Is this the same as going to a plasma center? I thought this was not practical for what we're trying to achieve by donating. (keeping crit and rbc in check) I'm a little confused...

Not at all. Plasma centers take only your plasma which does nothing for you. Double red blood cell donations they take whole blood until they reach a certain number of red blood cells. Then they return your own plasma back to you in the same IV

Ok... I was confused between the two... They asked me yesterday if I wanted to do doubles and I told them no because I thought it was plasma only... Lol

Is it better to do a double red cell donation than regular donation

It can be if your RBC is high, but the waiting period for your next donation afterwards is twice as long. 16 weeks versus 8 weeks
