I think I have a problem....starting to freak out.

Interesting, I once stuck myself with a tagging device when I was 18. Less than 24 hours later my entire hand was swelled up, red and fairly hot.

Ya it depends. On many things strength of immune system. What was on the pin or security tag. Etc

Update! The swelling went down and the redness is gone. Chills and sweats all night but much better now!!! Thanks to all who responded yesterday!

I have pinned many many times. I have never got an infection from pinning. If you follow a clean protocol, to me it is very hard to get an infection.

I have.. One time I pinned my quad and after a few days my leg started to give out. The diameter of redness started to spread and I had to go get a shot to counter the infection. It sucked big time. I was moving at that time too with a pregnant wife and she was pissed at me for fucking up at such a bad time.

From that day forward.. I only pin after I have shower and have scrubbed the pinning site.
