How bad are dairy products for fat loss?

I do not drink milk because it triggers me to eat some sort of cake, doughnuts, cookies or sugary cereal weird but true. But when I do it is almond or cashew once in while fairlife chocolate is good!!
Yeah I was eating cereal and milk occasionally as a snack and I sat down and figured out the calories and it was something like 680 calories. That's a meal... Not a snack... Lol... And not a very good one...

Bloat and body fat are not the same thing here, fellas. If you're bloated from dairy, you're holding onto excess water. Not an appealing look. So, yes it can make you APPEAR higher body fat than you actually are. Some folks just don't digest dairy too well. The only time I really cut it out is a couple weeks leading up to a contest or a photo shoot. Better safe than sorry :).

I find this statement to be true in people that say they can't gain weight!
Add up what "They" say is a lot of food and it winds up being 500-700 under their TDEE.

I knew you would say something... Lol... We've had this discussion before briefly. I don't drink milk often but this is my go to mainly because I don't have to worry about it spoiling.

Lol to each their own! I don't think you even have to keep it cold though. Samw e process is used in that organic milk they keep on the shelves in the aisles. Not very healthy. I would just buy smaller bottles of milk of I were you. But yeah I remember now we did talk about this once.

I actually mis read the question and thought it was if dairy was ok. Yes it is ok while in maintainence, in moderation. While cutting it is the first thing I completely stop. Like Tx said you get some type of bloat that I can't explain. It is like everybody is to some degree intolerant of dairy. Milk contains un needed sugar and fat. And though you say it is part of your macro it still bloats and should not be used. I also feel the same way about wheat. I get a little bloat from it too, so maybe I am just a bit gluten intolerant.
Back in the day we used to cut with no carbs and it was common to use cream and whey and eat hard cheese. This gave almost no carbs.
So my advice if cutting is avoid all dairy....except ice cream of course..lol. I mean it is ok to dream about ice cream...not eat it.

As has been said its worth giving it a shot for a couple of weeks dairy free (or at least as low as you can go) to see what happens. I dropped most dairy when i plateaued bf% for a couple of weeks and decided to try Keto, now and then I'd have a splash of heavy cream with coffee or almond milk with a protein shake, maybe a bit of cheese but that was it. I'm out of keto now but will never look back, the stuff that was usually the first in my shopping basket (milk/cottage cheese etc) doesn't even cross my mind now, which is a huge difference to the days when i believed they were vital to a solid diet.

One night getting close to bedtime I was hungry from not eating enough that day.I grabbed my kids frosted mini wheats and had some whole milk on them.Hit the spot. The next morning it looked like I gained about 7lbs. That was it for me, milk and wheat!

Save the dairy for me then. I will not give it up! Lol no competition for me. Lol
