Hey everyone hope you're all well. I stumbled upon this forum when I was looking into different forms of trt on Dylan's channel. My question Is my free test is 165 which I know is low. I went and seen the specialist today and he prescribed me the gel. I asked about the intramuscular injections and he said they don't work near as good as the gels. From what I understand its the complete opposite. Im just curious on everyones thought on that. Now I am 25 and I have never touched steroids before I've been dealing with the symptoms for years thinking it was just my ptsd. Any help would be great !

Your doctor is blowing smoke up your ass. Doctors push them gels because they get kickbacks on them. Injections are FAR superior in every way. More stable blood levels, less conversion to estrogen, and no worries about transmission to other people, kids, pets, etc.
I would demand injections or tell him you'll find a different doctor

I figured he was. the thing is hes the only specialist around so I have no choice but to use him. I want to be healthy and have energy to do things with my son and be overall healthy. so if id be better off on injections id rather do them myself then deal with him.
personally, thats what i would do... what a JOKE about saying the gels work better... the gels work better because they get paid a fuckload more for selling them! thats absurd and anyone that actually knows how this works would make him look foolish for saying that... they take advantage of people like yourself who are just going in without knowing how it works and its fucked up... i would honestly do it yourself
thanks for responding Dylan. yeah I knew he was but he was not gonna give me injections like I asked for. with my free lvl being 165 what kind of trt dosage would you recommend ? my coworker has some test e 250 I could get from him and start my art myself.

Not sure where you are from and what the cost difference is for you , my Doc tried to put me on the gels first, I was already reading up on gels, injections, etc and being a member here, I knew it was not a good idea.
The cost is why I was able to get him to give me the injections, I told him flat out I could not afford the Gel it was like $500+ for 3 months worth vs $80 for 5 months of test cyp.

Same here. Doc put me on Gel first then I switched to IM injections....huge difference in the way i felt. 150mg initially put me over 1200 72 hours after injection, but my numbers are now around 850-900.
In my opinion, if you can find a Doctor that will let you self inject and monitor you, that is the way to go. Stay away from clinics that require you to come in once a week, pain in the ass plus a weekly co-pay is totally unnecessary.

Im defiantly going to go with the dosages dylan gave me and do it myself I think unless I can convince him to let me go on injections. if he wants me on androgel what would happen if I Took the gel with the injections ? I'm assuming your lvl would be too high ? reason I ask is it only cost me 4$ today for my prescription I just picked up.
Guess I'm gonna fake a rash and demand them injections !!! lol
Most doctors will treat your symptoms, not just a specific number up until a point. Just tell him you still suffer the symptoms of low T and would like to try the injections. If he refuses, then kick him to the curb because he obviously is not concerned about treating you properly.
