Up until a year ago I kept my Yamaha acoustic next to the couch and would play during commercials..Loved having it around but in the middle of the night I stepped on it and its dead now.. My mother just gave me this....its way my Aunt claras, she passed at 90 a few months ago played self taught since she was a little girl..Dont know much about it, I just got it lastnight....Its an alvarez from japan...It has to be from the late 70s or 80s...not too old but not new at all..

I heard the Alvarez acoustics from Japan during those years were good guitars...

sounds great..picking now...I googles the 5059 model, not much on it but used it goes for $500...lower end I guess but its nice

My dad had an old Alvarez , I learned how to play on it , loved it

No one has replied to this thread in a while but I saw guitar players and I had to say something lol. I've been playing for about 20 years and I have a small collection. I don't play in a band anymore and since my only audience is my daughter I play my John Mayer edition Taylor. I like a smaller body acoustic and it sounds amazing. Apart from that I prefer my Fender Telle black Nashville style to jam and piss off the neighborhood with my old fender hotrod tube amp. I'm no Eric Clapton but I like to pretend sometimes :-D

We should start an adrenaline rush house band!
Lmao! Nice!

DG will be the lead singer... Lol

Another guitar enthusiast here! My favorite axes at the moment are a 1986 Fender Japan Strat (E-series) and a Martin 000rs1 acoustic.

I also sing and, just recently, bought an upright/double bass and I'm having a lot of fun with it.
