Got glass in my ampule dammit!

So I went to crack open a brand new ampule of HCG and the tip completely shattered. Glass was stuck in my fingers and glass went into the powder.
Should I shake out the glass and still use it? It's going subcutaneous , seems like it would be alright.

This is pretty common man. First time breaking open an ampule? It could be the technique you're using. I'd recommend either getting an ampule opener or file/scour around the narrow part of the ampule and then snap it open. Much easier and helps avoid shattering it. I'd say for safety to always use a filtered needle. The likely hood of you drawing glass up a needle is slim to none but anything is possible.

I don't think I'd take the risk. I'd just discard it and move onto another amp. This is one of the main reasons I will not fuck with ampules. They are nothing but a major pain in the ass

Yeah, it's sad having to throw the gear away. I might have to look into an ampule opener.

use a razor and etch a line round the neck of the ampule, then use a hand towel or cloth wrap it round the neck and ampule and apply slow constant pressure should snap right away without issue. Takes a few times of practice to get the proper technique down. If it becomes too much hassle or if you choose can always purchase and ampule opener. As far as the ampule you have right now with glass in it i personally would move onto the next ampule,

I try not to mess with amps if I dont have an opener... If you do it though use a fine gauge needle. Youl be fine. Aint none of that glass gonna get through a 31g will take you 15 min but depends how bad you want that gear lol. Or draw it up and leave it in a syringe and just filter it at some point.

Maybe I'm just a risk taker, but after breaking amps hundreds of times and getting glass in them many times, I just draw it and pin it. The size of the piece of glass would be so small that it would be insignificant, especially if you are using insulin syringes .Maybe I've just been lucky, but That's just me, yes they are a pain in the ass, but I enjoy human grade sustanon amps ....reminds me of the old school days of gear. Although, if you don't need that amp and have plenty more to replace it, then chunk it.

You can actually get what's called a filter needle...we use them on the ambulance for this exact issue. I'm sure you can find them pretty easily.

Agree. Point me at any UGLs Primo and an amp of Bayer Primo, I will risk the glass in the amp. I'm goin Bayer every time.
