How many of you guys have a free day? Like perhaps on your bday or something you just eat whatever the hell you want for the day? I typically only do refeeds (when in a deficit) with a cheat meal here or there probably once a month. I have no problem staying disciplined, as I have for many many years, but wondered how many of you guys just go ham sometimes on the food? I'd be curious lol.
 
I pick special events...holiday/birthday or an invite to a get together, all in all once a Month is what it averages.

Always a good choice. That's basically what I do. If I'm not contest prep, it's a good way to be social, merry, and not have to explain yourself when you say something along the times of, "I can't eat that. Thanks, but no thanks."

My free day are alcohol and beer days

Funny this Xmas went to the in-laws and they had not seen me in a year,,,60 pounds down since they saw me last.
Mom said......OH!! well you will have to eat a separate dinner huh?

I said yep!....I'm on a chocolate/peanut butter ice cream diet.....she ran out and bought 2- 1/2 gallons....LOL

keep in mind she is 83...;)

The only time I really go all out for a whole day (or even a whole week) is while on vacation with family. When I'm on vacation I'm on vacation. That means no gym and no strict diet. I enjoy life...plain and simple

As for every day life, I don't really do a whole day ever. However, I will do a cheat meal anytime a social event comes up like when the wife wants to go to dinner and have some drinks, somebody's birthday, holidays, etc...

I also do cheat meals every weekend as well, and stay regimented during the week. It works well for me, and I'm able to stay pretty damn lean while keeping leniency in my life to enjoy

Keeping it simple and enjoying life. Best balance in my opinion, brother.
 
I am never a big junk food guy my fav food to eat is steak , and well in the endurance season I can eat what I want anyway but when I'm on aas I don't really struggle with having to have brownies or ice cream but man a good ol couple IPAs or a blue label Johnny walker pull that is always hard for me
 
i never have a free day... not one... i will have a meal here or there that i enjoy and im trying to do this at least on sundays where i have a steak or just a sit down meal with my wife and mom but its just hard for me... i just cant wrap my head around it... i need to do it more often, i know because in all honesty, i miss that type of thing and ive been living like this for so many years straight that it does wear on you but i would never just have a day where i went all out like that... on Thanksgiving i just fucking starve all day so i can eat double what i normally eat in a day but thats about it for me... i would love to have pizza or something every now and then and i you know, im just mentally blocked because i used to eat A LOT more freely and was still always 7% body fat but i have a standard ive set and i cant seem to get out of that...

LOL your not lying man... im good and not giving in though, which is difficult for most... i will say that i do value the filet mignon days... big time... =)

I know that champion/perfectionist mindset all too well. I come from a huge racing background, and my family was very invested in my brother's and my racing. We never took days off, never accepted anything less than 100%. It took me many years of retraining my mind to be able to let go and relax. I still stress over it when I have a free meal or a "cheat day."

I know them feels, Dylan :) lol.

Maybe a few days after Christmas if I am visiting my mother on her state for a few days. I'd estimate that when I stop competing I will probably have a few more "meals" but still very few "whole days"
