Food vs. Suppliments

So fairly strait forward question. That I am sure won't be a strait forward answer...

If we know what the body needs and we can hit our macros easier, and supplement the vitamins and minerals our body needs. Why can't every meal just be a shake/smoothie? This seams to be much easier all around as far as prep, cook, and clean up.

Nothing takes the place of food in the human body. .shakes are used as a helper if your in a bind and cant eat. People have died using too much protien powder. Its rough on the kidneys. Supplements are designed to aid in your nutrition, not be the sole source of it.its tough cooking and prepping meals...but its just the nature of the beast

I was going to respond and then read this and realized that nothing else needed to be said.

Preparation is 3/4 the battle.

It comes down to much more than macris brother. Micro nutrients are extremely important, and as stated too much protein powder is not good on your system. Protein powder is meant as a supplement to boost up your total protein intake that is coming primarily from whole foods sources , and nothing more. In my opinion it should make up no more than 30% of your daily protein intake

this..... no more than 2 shakes a day. You need to be eating real food.

Nothing will take the place of read food.

i could type on and on and on for this but this answer here is a quick and highly accurate summary of the answer... NOTHING takes the place of real food, hence the name "supplement" meaning you "supplement" them throughout, not replace... just keep that in mind... they are aids etc. but not replacements...

You could blend up real food every meal but even then over long periods your digestion would probably adapt to not needing to do a lot of food break down. That's my theory anyway.
