Favorite Pre Workout Meal?

Oh no bro. I'm a mesomorph. I was never really lean until I took my diet seriously. If I don't stay structured with it, I definitely pay for it lol.

i thought so man lol. im ectomorph. i tried that fasting stuff, i wither away faster then a piece of bacon on a griddle

Simple protein oats always sits well in my stomach. I typically with something like this:

80g. oats
50g. chocolate whey
10g. cocoa powder
1/2 cup almond milk (add water to right consistency)

Yeah man..homeade. Or if you can get Pace piquante sauce. Has more salt than home made, but it is good...throw in extra jalpenos. So much written over post and pre workout makes your head spin. How many in the old days were on just steak and eggs. A lot of guys did...and have done so myself. What works for me is to do day by day on instinct. Some days it is oats with whey and some days it is eggs and ham...no carbs. Guys from the old school keto days still today do not worry about carbs. I know a guy that his pre workout is 2 Tbl olive oil. Then he does his Bulgarian workout. Hard to say what is right or what is best.

I would absolutely agree with that. Everybody is different, and there are going to be a lot of different strategies with preworkout meals and post workout meals, just as there is with diet and training in general. And there really is no right or wrong answer. There's more than one way to skin a cat

Here is the deal... your pre workout meal is just as or if not far more important than your post
These bro science nut huggers going on about anabolic windows don't realize things you take in after your workout don't just instantly fucking digest....

Your pre workout meal in my opinion holds the most value. I keep my post workout more basic... hydrolyzed whey for example amd then Il make something basic. Really no set meal for me.

Pre workout though I do 2 scoops of rice 2 scoops of meat and one of vegies. Il typically take my bcaa with it too actually my workouts last maybe an hour so I'm not sitting here worrying about my poor body withering away mid workout cause I dont have my bcaa's lol

i also feel the pre workout meal is very important although i do things a bit differently pertaining to my structured day especially with the huge amounts of cardio i go through... i eat very small meals throughout the day... i have 200-300 calorie meals for the most part but i do have a few in the 400-500 range some days as well... since i do an hour or more of cardio a day, i generally go into that like this... one can of tuna in lettuce wraps and 1/4 scoop of peanut butter or 1/4 serving of greek yogurt... just enough to give me strong energy for cardio but nothing too unsettling... i split cardio from my workout by about 3 hours or so... so after cardio i come straight down stairs and have either 6-8 oz. of chicken, fish or pork loin with 2 servings of vegetables... i let that settle for a good hour or so and then on my way to the gym have a protein shake and bcaa's and glutamine... post workout i have my other protein drink for the day and then follow that up with either 3-4 servings of vegetables or another 4 oz. of chicken or fish and 2 servings of vegetables... this is what has worked the best for me...
