Fat Grips

I've seen a couple guys in my gym using fat grips and I was wondering if anyone else has had experience using them. Might pick up a set just to change up my routine a bit, maybe shock my muscles a little.

They are get for hammer curls and dumbbell work, I use mine every other worker out., they pump the shit out of the forearms.
I put them also on the Oly bar and do as many straight curls in a row, in will bring you to tears!
 
I bought a pair a few years back. They really do target the muscle. Montgomery is right, your forearms will take a beating. Definitely have to use less weight than you are typically accustom to using

They really are best for the forearms, crazy how much it changes the feel, a 35 dumbbell instantly turns to a 50….LOL

I was just about to give that warning as I've seen some clowns with all the latest and greatest equipment they make use these thinking they could bench as per usual and dropped the weight on their sternum... fortunately these were less serious lifters (aren't they all compared to us?) and it wasn't enough weight to do damage to anything other than their pride. Gotta love em. January is half over and the resolutioners will be clearing out even more so here by February 1st!!! Fuck yeah baby!

How much better is the movement & isolation with them. Or just another fad????

Not a fad bro, but you should use them as Montgomery discussed to work your forearms to muscular oblivion.
 
I have them in my gym bag, I will wip them out now and then for something different. Like some of the Bros said they smash! Your forearms, exspecially in any pulling excercise and yes the weight will have to be dropped a bit unless you have crazy grip strenght... I have used it for some push excercise cos I tend to grip the bar pretty tight and sometimes that will play around with my mind muscle connection so chucking them on makes me push through my wrists if that makes sense... But yeah pretty much just a tool in the toolbox for me. Hope that helped

I bought an off brand and paid less then 1/2 of what they want for fat grips…shop around and save some $$ they are the same thing
 
They've been around a long time and some people love them. I've heard they are great for forearm growth and grip strength but I've never really tried them myself. I have thought about it but my forearms grow like crazy as it is from hammer curls, drag curls, reverse grip curls, and heavy rows and pulls

Yeah you can get alot of the benefits from those excercises with out using fat grips. I mean I got them ages ago but sometimes I may use them now and then for something different.
