Epson Exile Fitness Diary

Well another Sunday update. According to my scale I am now at 234. So -2 pounds this last week. It could have been better but I fell flat on my face Saturday. My wife's brother in law had a get together. And even though he tried to help by cooking beef tenderloin, and broccoli and carrots for me. All the other stuff looked to good. So chips and salsa, chips and guac., 9 cookies, and 1 link of cheddar jalapeno sausage later......

Oh and another thing I found out this week. I got my Testosterone numbers back. I am at 188 so that's dam low. So low they have a whole other name for it. Past Low-T. I believe the name is Hypogonadism. So until I can do something about that it will be working against me.

that is definitely hindering your weight loss and overall progression bro... that is horribly low... did the doctor not recommend trt for you? if not then this is something you may have to self administer because that is horribly low...

your still making progress, even with the slip up and the low test levels, which is a testament to your hard work... let's get everything treated and get you going on the fast track!

Yes he was going to start testosterone shots. But I requested a referral to a Endocrinologist. So he didn't out of fear of messing up their testing. I don't think it is just test that is low I feel there are other hormones also. I have read that brain trauma really messes this stuff up. And I kick boxed for a few years and had a car accident that put me in a coma for about 24 hours. So I want to check my Cortisol am and mid day, Thyroid....Free T4 and T3, and also DHEA levels.

very wise decision... i like how you are being thorough and realize there are other areas that need addressed as well... that is extremely wise and i hope more follow this type of decision making

Well my 3rd week has come and gone. Not much has changed this week as far as my routine. But I did get my hands on a 2004 Schwinn Airdyne AD4. So I can now do my cardio work at home. I also went to Corpus 2 times to take care of some pre Endocrinologist work. Had to collect urine for 24 hours. At 1st they only gave me 1 half gallon container but I told them I am drinking lots of water and asked for another. Thank God I did cause I filled both of them to the top. And also some blood work here is a list of all that they are testing for.

Comp Metabolic Panel
CBC w/auto diff w/ plts
Ferritin
FSH
Iron
Luteinizing Hormone
Prolactin
PSA, Total Diagnostic
TSH
SHBG, Serum
Bioavailable/Free Testosterone

Not that I know what half that is but that's everything that is circled on my Lab Test Sheet.

Oh and my weight in this Sunday was 231 pounds. So 9 pounds in 3 weeks! My scale is dumb though. It's telling me that my Body Fat % has gone up 1% though.

never gauge your body fat from those scales bro... they are horribly skewed and completely off in terms of their accuracy... VERY NICE work on dropping weight! You are well on your way bro! keep up the nice work!

Well it has been a few weeks since I have said anything. I had planned on doing at least 1 post every week. But to be honest there isn't much to say at this point. I got to 225 pounds and stopped. Three weeks ago on Sunday I weighed in at 225.4 pounds. Today I weighed in at 225.4 pounds. Not really sure what I am doing wrong. My diet could use some help as far as clean goes. But from a calorie stand point I am not going past 2000 per day. And I am doing 40 mins of cardo every morning burning around 400 calories. I did test for low-T and the doctor has put me on a Test Gel, 2 pumps a day so about 40.5 g of test daily. Kinda low in my opinion but at this point I am kinda at his mercy as to how much I can use. The gel is also a total pain in the ass. But will go back on the 18th and see what my new test levels are and go from there.

if you are experiencing low test, especially drastically low then it will completely hinder your ability to burn fat and drop weight... it is a weight loss killer bro... your gel is clearly not helping and definitely not the answer... if your doctor is not going to accommodate your evident needs then i would self administer as this won't cure itself...

Okay so it is Sunday. As of now I am 8 weeks into this loss fat thing. When I started I wanted it to be about body fat % goals. But I found out fairly quick that won't work. It is hard to do it as a body fat % when there seams to be no easy way to measure body fat accurately. So lets do weight my goal 5 months. I started at 240 lbs. Now as of this morning I am at 221 lbs. So a loss of 19 lbs. divide that by 8 weeks total so far. I get a ave of 2.375 or 2 3/4 lbs. per week. And I still have 12 weeks to go. Even without bring in the whole low-T stuff and what not. I am so calling this a success so far. If I keep going at this rate I will be 192.5 lbs. at the end of 12 weeks. Not sure if that will happen though. If I remember I was thinking it would be nice to get down to 200 lbs. so depending on what it looks like at 200 lbs. (Cause I have no idea I can't even remember how old I was when I was at 200 maybe 19-21) I just might go off the diet and start to bulk not sure.

I have to say my biggest fear right now. Is loose skin once all this fat is gone. I hate loose flabby skin. To be honest if that is what happens and I can't get ride of it. I will probably think I am uglier than ever and gain the weight back on purpose just to get ride of it......

I took my measurements today. My question is should I be concerned? I don't mind losing inches in the waist and stomach area but it also seams that my arm (flexed) is smaller also. Here are the before and now measurements....

Stomach (mm): 117.5 now 109
Arm (relaxed): 13.5" now 13"
Arm (flexed): 16 now 15.25
Chest: 46.5 now 44.5
Shoulders: 55.75 now 53.25
Waist: 46 now 42.375
Hips: 44.25 now 42.625
Thigh: 25 now 23
Calf: 15.5 now 15.5
Total Inches: 262.50 now 249.75

What are your thoughts?

its basically impossible to drop massive amounts of weight and not lose size in your arms and other areas... don't forget that your losing a lot of extra fat in those areas so that is part of the loss there... it does not have to all be muscle that is lost in those areas as they were definitely not covered in pure muscle before... your making excellent progress... look how significant of a change you have already made! you are just fine... don't worry, don't overthink and don't lose focus...
