Cutting and Re-feeding question

Hey Guys,

I've been limiting my carbs in between 55-80g per day. Since I'm doing 4-5 days of intense cardio, I was instructed to re-feed after every three days. I've still been maintaining the same deficit, but just adding carbs on the re-feed days.

What exactly is your question OP? Are you concerned about re feeding every 3 days? Do you want to do it less frequently/more frequently? I tried and recently gave up on a CKD diet but there are plenty of guys on here who use it and are successful. If you can clarify what you're looking for...I think you'll get an answer.

Hey sorry for the late response! Yeah, is it okay to refeed that often?

Why the fluctuation on carbs is it 50 or is it 80. The human body needs min 130g of carbs a day just to function. I think you would be better served doing the min of atleast like 100g carbs a day maybe get some simple sugars in there to help for the loss of carbs and then a once a week carb reload i usually do this on my cheat day

For most people, that is going to be too often to refeed if you are looking to shred bodyfat. It depends on a number of factors. The leaner you are, the more often you can refeed, and at your age you may be able to refeed more often than someone older if your metabolism is higher.

What exactly is your weight, height, and bodyfat? That will tell us a lot.

A good general rule of thumb that works well for most is to refeed once every 7 days. Refeed ing every 3 might be too much unless it's a much lighter carb load. You certainly don't want to set yourself back or halt the progress you are after

I think that's okay. One of the guys I know that has success goes 5 days consecutive and then does 2 cheat days. He says that at 5 days of low carb, he feels weak and is ready for a reload. I tried it and it didn't work for me. I've also done the 3-1 like you are doing.

Edit: Although I speak from personal experience...I'd take RR's advice more seriously. He's a guy who has been successful doing CKD.

Hey RickRock, I just got my order of GW. I had to take a few cheat days due to a lack of quality food
On vacation, but I'll be back at it by tomorrow. Can I hop right on the GW, or should I wait a few days to get back into the swing of things?

You can start the GW at any time bro. But please do not hijack other threads with your own questions bud. Please start your own threads
