Confession from the heart ...

Alcohol is poison and the devil!

Alcohol makes me a shitty father!

Alcohol makes me a shitty husband!

Alcohol makes me unstable!

Alcohol prevents me from being a better professional!

Alcohol greatly effects my decisions in life!

Alcohol induces bitterness in my heart!

Alcohol defeats my work in the gym!

And finally, Alcohol is still wrecking my life!

You obviously recognize what it does, time to beat the shit man. Easier said than done I know all about it. But when you read that back to yourself, ask yourself why you still let it wreck your life. Fear of a couple shitty feeling days, or weeks? How many days or weeks or years did it already steal from you? Tough road but as a prior addict, I know it's possible.

I agree with Joe man, gotta make the decision to leave it behind. Push forward and deal with the shitty feelings. What's more important your family and health or that hungover the next day looking like shit feeling like shit you get from drinking.

They make a drug now that'll make u puke at just the smell of alcohol..ask your Dr about it..I heard it works great

Anabuse isn't the answer..

Look dude alcohol is something that is ruinous to me. I don't drink like other people. I am a half gallon of cheap vodka a day type of guy. The type that is hospitalized for week or so detoxing, seizing, hallucinating.. Because of my drinking, I ended up going to prison for DWI's. I got DWI 3 and DWI 4 (felony) 6 hours apart. They took me to the hospital for 3 and gave me a ticket because I was supposed to stay over night. I said fk it and walked out. Then got #4. Thank God I didn't kill anyone. It takes what it takes and sadly if you're truly an alcoholic, you may have to lose everything you hold dear before you decide to so something about it. It ain't an overnight thing but I had my last drink on Jan. 14 2016. Just celebrated 16 months.

I enjoy a good earning capacity today and a healthy home life. My health is better and my state of mind is better. I don't have to live that way anymore.

I go to AA regularly though. I put in the work and I regularly help others. To each their own though.

Good luck man, msg me if you want to talk. I've been there.
