In my third year and finding it hard to find motivation and also finding it harder to get good grades... any advice?

ive been through that bro... i can help... what is your major? are you at a small private university or a large campus?
 
I'm in college as well. When I was younger it was hard to balance working and school and i never wanted to go. I'm older now, work full time with 2 additional hours a day of drive time just to get to and home not counting the drive to school..i have 2 kids...workout like a beast.. and the last 2 semesters I made presidents list. After you get your pre-requisites out of the way it's a breeze! You have to basically love what you are attending college for.
 
whoops, meant to quote you Dylan. and thanks for the responses guys.. and yeah morkai thats true.. I don't want to take any time off as I already fell behind changing majors.. I just feel that I often lack motivation to go to class or to study, get distracted easily too.

If you need motivation to finish school let me provide it: Life is simple, it's hard. You have an opportunity to be more prepared for it and you can't muster enough drive to better yourself? You must have an infatuation with being poor. Two years of school knocked out and you feel some sort of pity for yourself? Do you have any idea how fortunate you are? Seriously you must like living check to check, looking at your kids (if/when you have them) and telling them they can't get that $4 toy they want. You must love the idea of being poor... Obviously you have never genuinely struggled for shit bro. Don't worry, drop out and you will come face to face with it intimately. You must like the idea of being poor as fuck and looking at things you can't afford and regretting dropping out later in life. Poverty is a bitter pill, I grew up eating potted meat, wearing shoes off the discount rack at Sears, Payless shoes, getting 5 shirts and 3 pair of pants for the school year bro... having to cut them in the summer for shorts... that was motivation enough for me to suck up what life dished out and be that guy who can buy what he wants, spoil his wife and kid... you must be the one guy in the world who wanted to drop out. Prissy ass. Motivated now?

Life is deep and to be honest I can't stand the thought of someone whining about a privilege they have. You know how many kids want and deserve to go to college and can't? Let's take my sons GF for example, sweet, beautiful young lady who was A-B honor roll all high school. When she spoke of college with her mom, her mom's answer was join the military and get the GI Bill and then you can go to college. So you subject your daughter to predatory assholes lurking in the dark and in broad daylight, tell her to push her dreams aside of going to school with my son so she can basically get fucked by dudes who don't give a shit about her and treat her like meat??? Yeah way to go mom... I've seen and heard of so many gang rapes, rapes in the military it ain't cute. I enrolled her in college myself and her grandpa and I are sending her off to school with my son while he plays football. As long as they're together she's one of us...fuck her ignorant ass mother. You sacrifice for your kids bro... it's the job of a parent to do so. Think of the other kids out there who don't have a support system in place and slip thru the cracks and this spoiled little pussy has the nerve to say he's tired and lacks the motivation to go to class???!!!???!!??? Good opportunities are rare and we just get to get tired of them and whine about being too tired to chase life at a full sprint?
I've seen so many wasted lives, dreams that sat dormant and died and it sucks. I've busted my ass intentionally with a few simple goals in mind 1. Be a great Dad, 2. Provide the best chance in life for my son to be a successful man and realize his dreams and 3. Be financially capable of taking care of my wife and kids beyond what some might consider comfortable... and errrrr 4. Be swole as fuck. You think I give a flying shit about someone being tired of chasing their goals? You're on a AAS sight for Pete's sake... we're all about self improvement supposedly right? He expressed that here because his parents would tell him 'Boy you better grow the F up'. You get no love from me if quitting on yourself is your specialty bro.
When I spoke of predatory assholes in the service anyone who has served has seen, or heard of these assholes. Looking at the inbound personnel rosters to see if female privates are coming in, married NCO's and LT's manipulating their fragile stupid brains to screw, the chick who gets drunk with one and fucked by 9 guys, or the nice guy who asks them out and then acts like violence is an option when the girl attempts to slow things down on a date... I've seen it all, one guy confessed to me he had raped someone, I've seen the creeps who can't wait for new fresh meat to arrive. Everyone ain't like that, but there are enough that I wouldn't let my daughter join the service. That's just what I've seen and I hope others have had the good fortune of not having to deal with these things first hand. - The 44
