Arnold been back to making waves this year attacking the ifbb judges and demanding symmetry and aesthetics be the foundation of judging and not the mass monster pregnant gh gut look that has been around the last few years. I for one agree 100 percent! Im sick of the ugly bodies that are being built for the audiences shock n awe. I want bb to be something inspiring again. Something that is realistically attainable again. The art of it. The discipline of it and not the barbaric amount of roids insulin and growth hormone needed to become freakish! I hope this time a change is coming because more n more bodybuilders are coming out in support and uf it dies change ill bring back my support of watching shows or going to shows buying tee shirts or whatever. Something I gave up back when mass monsters became the winners

Totally agree bro. The judges should really penalise anyone with a distended stomach. Honeslty Phil looked fucking incredible in 2011,2012,2013 but last year Kai, Rhoden and Wolf were better than him! Lee Priest once spoke out against bad judging and the guts and look what happened to him. IFBB fucking banned him for life. Hopefully Arnold saying something will change things. Mens Physique is where its at now! Sadik Hadzovic has the ultimate physique in the whole IFBB

Why do you think mens physique has gotten so much more air time and public awareness. Its what bodybuilders used to do. Look musculr with symetry and a pleasing body to view and judge not some muscle monster who cant even move around. I am much more into mens physique than the heavyweight bb.

I totally agree with you, and would absolutely love to see the aesthetic symmetrical look back from the golden era of bodybuilding. To me that is the ultimate look and is more appealing than anything coming from today's bodybuilders.

Unfortunately, as long as the people keep supporting the look of the mass monsters and looking for more and more of a freak every year, the judging won't change. It's all about money, and what sells tickets, supplements, etc. It has become a freak show, and it's not appealing at all. They have tried to give us an aesthetic division with the men's physique division, but I'd like to see that same thing given to bodybuilding. Not just a model show in board shorts without flexing.

I really hope things change, and I'm glad Arnold is making a stand. But I don't see it happening anytime soon

Oh hell no. That guy is a legend. But I did and still do follow his training and diet. RickRock..I know what you are saying is exactly true bro, but I try to be optimistic about it. Hoping one day I will see guys who are healthy and fit up on stage rather than bloated sausages. To me, it is really sad to have seen the men from the 60's who lived the life, walked the walk and talked the talk. Then from the late 60's on it got a little worse every year. Like I said...to me it is very sad and reflects poorly on us.

I think Arnold was bang on the money with his speech. I live in melbourne and didn't go to the Arnold despite it being a dream for many years because the physiques no longer excite me. If they were anything like Levrone, Wheeler and Ray of 1998 I would have been there 100%

Some of these physique guys have really well developed wheels. These should drop the board shorts and put on some posing trunks. It would be the revival of the golden era

Oh hell yeh bro I agree. I competed in physique and when I came out on stage, my wife in the audience overheard the people by her say "wow look at this guys calves. It's too bad we can't see the rest of his legs"

I happen to be very gifted with calves, but my point is that I saw a lot of great physiques that day in that division, and some guys with great wheels that couldn't be seen because of those board shorts. I love the aesthetic and classic look of the division but I'd like it even more if they flexed on stage and wore bodybuilding trunks.

I dont mind the boadrshorts but maybe have them be a bit shorter so you can see some quad to know they actually work the legs too. But i like the look of the bs for physique. But ya it is weird there is no flexing just walk. But hey it does show that their abs are staright legit because they r poppin even when relaxed. Thats true ohysique being rock hard when relaxed
