Anavar risk vs. reward factor

I'll be starting a cycle with test Prop 250mg/week and primo 800mg/week for 16 weeks soon and in the past I always kick started with Var 50-60mg/day for about 4-5 weeks.
I'm wondering if I don't take the Var this time if my gains will be similar to past cycles and bloodwork will also be a little better in terms of Cholesterol which
for some reason my HDL always drops to extremely low levels "13 +/-"
Do you guys think if I drop the Var it'd be beneficial to keep homeostasis and acceptable blood values?
Is it worth to take it in the same or lower dosage for 3-4 weeks? risk vs. reward?
What other oral would you consider with a lower risks than anavar if there's any?

I can't offer any advice, but i'll give this a bump and say that you should say what your goal is for this cycle. Cutting, or mass gain. Good luck!

Check out tbol for lean growth, much better for most guys than anavar. Var is pretty weak for most people (at least for males,) though some love it and are lucky enough to respond well to it.

If you're looking to help with lipids/overall bloods, read up on what GW may help you with. Of all the benefits it provides, I always thought the cholesterol and cardiorespitory factors make it perfect to run with cycles you know are going to give you trouble with bloods or cardio. Tren wrecks most people's cholesterol and kills their cardio workouts, but running GW with their cycles has shown to improve both, so if var is causing you concern with bloodwork, you might try seeing if GW is a way to circumvent that.

Trust me, the last thing you wanna do is take some of the prescription drugs doctors hand out like candy for cholesterol control, most of them are actually extremely dangerous.

My suggestion is still in favor of tbol over var, but you will likely see similar effects on your bloodwork from most orals

Lets here those stats first bud. Age, height, weight, bf%. Whats your goals for the cycle? Var is very mild and you have a ton of options depending on what you're trying to accomplish.

stats: 40 year old, 195lbs, 5'8", 10%bf, few cycles under my belt, never competed but I could have if I wanted.
goal: recomp, clean cycle 16 weeks, go down to 7%-8% and keep muscle mass around same or slight increase.
Done last 2 last cycles with just test/primo/anavar/hgh. Repeating same cycle now with or without the var.
Always do bloods before/during/after and last time my pcp prescribed medication for low HDL.
Maybe the VAR was the one causing the drop in HDL even though my LDL was ok, it took a while to go up to acceptable values, about 3-5 months.

My personal experience with var is that for men it's just not worth the cost or the effect on the body. I did experience a slight increase in strength and vascularity. However, some of the muscle pumps I got were just not worth it's use. I pretty much used it so I can say been there, done that.

Like Titan said, look into tbol. Seems to be the man's version of anavar. I will certainly be incorporating tbol into my next cycle. But again this all depends on your goals...

I did tbol in the past and still have enough for a cycle, I was doing other test/npp at the time with somee insulin/hgh and not sure I noticed much since the synergy of these compounds was amazing.
definitely getting some gw from Isarms for at least the last 8-12 weeks of the cycle and then some after, just don't want to run it for too long, great advise, thanks

I did experience back pumps on var and good vascularity, I remember going for a run on the beach with my girl and after a mile my calves were so pumped I couldn't keep going, usually i can do 5-7 miles without any issues.. Wondering if T-bol has similar effects with pumps or if it causes bloating even though research says it doesn't cause much.

Tbol is a very dry and clean oral. There should be no bloating or water retention on it, and it makes sense as a much better alternative than anavar. Anavar is just a really weak overpriced oral for men. It works well for women
