Soo I run probably more then anyone on the forum, I also do obstacle courses and carry heavy things for long distances. With that being said i am not good at running I'm not a "natural" runner but I'm a competitor.. In the last few months I have put 100's of miles on my body steady state and sprinting and what I've found is that you have to run your race first of all and pick your poison Steady state will not make you good at sprinting but sprinting could potentially help your steady state if you do both for instance sprinting the objective is to ramp your HR as high as possible and then try and get it to " rest " quickly I.e if you have a Max HR of 190 and your want to do endurance working in a 150-160 HR zone should be easy but your mind and muscles have to be used to it recently I have not been pleased with my decline in speed after 10 miles I used to run 400m sprints once a week , now I'm doing 800m sprints twice a week to try and make my heart more comfortable for longer by pushing my HR beyond with double my sprint length anyways I'm wondering with this but yea pm me i can get into it
