western union

Hey everyone. My experience with WU is that you can use a test question for any payment under $300, but then over that amount, the recipient needs to show an ID. Anyone else found this at the WU that they use? I thought it was really odd when I was told that I was sending more money than was allowed to use the test question. Is it like this at every WU? Have you guys found yourselves breaking up payments into smaller shipments to get around this?

My only WU was over $300 and there were no issues.

I've never had this happen, and all of my WU transactions have been substantially over 300$. Maybe try a different location. However, I know western union is starting to become a big fucking hassle it seems. I hate going through them

I posted about this in an earlier thread. Once you are done in the store you have to call the customer service line in order to confirm the test question/answer. I dressed this information to the store clerk and they still didn't have it when I called.

I used the WU app on my phone with a credit card and had no issues.

moneygram is better then mu. you only need id i think for over $950 dollars or something close to that amount

I for one never have issues with wu. But I use my phone. Don't know if that helps. Nor do I have to answer any secret questions

for some reason every time i tried a transaction via their website it failed. i always have to use cash in store.

It's been like that for years, you can't send over $299 unless the receiver has I.d., it's not a big deal at all at least where i'm from they have been like that forever. Sometimes they will also flag a transaction and then you have to call and they will ask you if you know the receiver and then they will release it if you give the right answers, if not they will refund you. It happens with moneygram and Walmart to Walmart also, it just means that the receiver name is just about burned out because they used it to much.

I used WU and couldn't get a transaction using Chrome browser. I had to switch to Internet Explorer to get it done.
When you tried making a transaction and it failed, what's the error message you are getting, if any.

Ive had one flagged. Had to call them to straighten out. They asked if I knew them and I flipped out on them...lol never had a problem since

dude, i would never use my computer to send people money in any circumstance, (thats me though) I was asked once when sending if I knew the people I was liek yeah of course I know them,, what kind of question is that?

I would only use WU for very small orders. Less shit to deal with and if something goes wrong, for $150 fuck it.
