This is going to be user specific to the individual.....since everyone has their preferences. But me personally, I am a HUGE fan of low volume, high frequency, high intensity.....that's exactly how I train and nothing give me more size and strength
I'm not a fan of the "bro split" doing high volume having a chest day, back day, legs, shoulders, arms, etc but it works well for some. You just have to find what works for you specifically

I work 2 to 3 body parts per workout emphasizing volume (depending on body part size). 12 reps for most body parts. I stress flooding the muscle tissue with blood and strict form and heavy weights. I do use failure sets as finisher. As Jay cutler told me 'Volume is king, low reps build strength not muscle.'.
