I actually look forward to my rest days. I take that time to unwind do a little cardio and feed my body what it needs. Once you can understand the logic and importance of rest days and realize that some ways those rest days are more beneficial than lifting, you'll learn to appreciate them more. I love lifting, but you grow in the kitchen and while resting....not in the gym
trust me, by thursday im counting the hours to my weekend... as hard as i go all week, i need the break like you cannot imagine... i know the negative effect overtaining can have as well... i am like rick, where i value the fuck out of that time off but you have to understand.. on cardio alone i do 75 minutes per day 5 days a week and when im in the gym, i go so fucking hard that im just toast by the weekend...
I'm sure I'm not the only one, my rest days turn into catch up days for life's chores.
Keeping up with house chores, overtime at work, yard work, truck repairs, etc! Usually not much rest. Haha

^^^This^^^ I used to go batty when I didn't go train, but once you hit a certain point in your size and strength you feel rest days are necessary. My planned rest days are weekends, but sometimes my body tells me to sit down and carb load. I'll say this much... I always feel and look 100% afterwards.
All true responses. I took the day off from lifting and I'm glad I did. I just get caught up in taking a new product and want to push myself so hard that I forget like you guys said rest days are the most important part. Gotta slow down and enjoy the good times. But back to beast mode tomorrow! Thanks guys
I put my rest days during the week because I have a physically active job. I look forward to just coming home after work some days to unwind and if I have a whole day off (like the weekends) I go bonkers without a workout.
