I have a night job and work 5 days a week each day 8 hours,my problem is at the end of working week my legs and ankles hold so much water,and when i dont work for 2 days it goes away...is it because of high cortisol?

No I don't believe so bro. I would look at your sodium and water intake. Depending on what your job is, your electrolyte balance could be off as well. I know how this goes because I must keep up my electrolytes and water very high. I work in a very physical job in extreme heat conditions that are between 120-130 degrees in a factory during the summer months

I'm a paramedic...there's many different things that can cause that. First and foremost you need to consider your medical history. (ie...heart problems,diabetes,liver problems and renal issues,etc) your age and medications you take. This could be absolutely nothing or this could be something serious. There are several medical issues that will cause this type of edema. I would not overlook this and see your doctor. Better to be safe.
